Stephen Mulhern's mentioned on Twitter that DoND will return in September.

It'll probably coincide with the schools going back (Mon 1/9).

To quote Simon F in today's show thread:

The rest of the week are just repeats from the first week of Season 2 as well.

Not sure why they're doing this, as they had about 50 shows left to air from the 2024 filming block (and as of today they've aired 16 of them) and have been filming further episodes in the last month or two... so it's not like they have a lack of new ones to show.

I know they show repeats of other gameshows randomly, but DoND's sequential nature means repeats sandwiched with new episodes will sit very strangely.

That's very odd. Wasn't it a bereavement in Stephen's family that caused the long hiatus? I'm so confused by the whole affair.

Tvguide.co.uk shows the repeats continuing into the week beginning 8 December, so presumably that's it for new episodes now until January.

Don't mind repeats as I'm out of the country for next couple of weeks so saves me a few hours not having to catch up on episodes (also cancelled the series record on my TV box for now).

Reminds me of when Channel 4 used to show repeats during the summer break but they got Noel (*cough* the producers *cough*) to come up with his 'Hall Of Fame' episodes to repeat!

Just to confirm that it now shows repeats going into the week of 15 December too, so the most likely date for new episodes to resume is 5 January (but maybe later!).

My series recording on my Virgin box for DOND has come up with a new episode on Monday January 5th.

This week seems to be the last week of DOND for a while (Tipping Point repeats are back in the 4pm slot from Mon 16th February).
