Bonjour!!!

Hi everyone. Been reading the forum for a while but signed up today. Just wanted to thank everyone for posting audition advice - got mine tomorrow and I'm really excited! :lol:

I'm a huge fan of the show. I've been in the audience a few times and it's a fantastic experience but must be even better to be a contestant. I opened one of the blue boxes on Andy's show back in January and was in the audience for Paul's & Oke's shows last month - had some scary close ups of me in the tense moments during Oke's show!

If you've already got box opening experience, you're half way there

Be yourself and remember to mingle. Prepare beforehand, you may need to do a piece to camera.

From my experience and talking to others it seems the auditions are pretty much streamlined and simplified now as they have so many people to get through. Its just 10 mins with two of the staff and a camera and they have a few basic questions that they have to ask but they try and make it as much like a normal chat as they can, no singing or dancing involved :-D

You need two references for the form before hand one personal and one business.

I think my audition was slightly different cos it was before dond had even hit the screens, it was still in early stages I think.
We had to do a 'mock up' of the show and we had Brian Connolly as the host. A lot of C4 people were there too. We all had boxes and they had a big screen up with the board showing.
That was back in Sept/Oct (can't remember) last year and I got a phone call just before xmas telling me that they wanted me on in the new year.

How long ago did you two apply as I only sent my form in last week so it looks as though I've missed this round of auditions :cry:

Thanks for your advice everyone. I had a really good time at the audition although it would be better if I'm one of the chosen few! You seem much friendlier than the 'official' site so I'll be back!
