Great forum guys. I got my audition soon . Anyone got any sound advice on how to behave?

yeah, DOND contestents generally have an interesting personality. so try to get yourself noticed, turn up wearing nipple tassles or something.

Just be yourself. I did some research before my audition and learnt that you shouldnt go too scruffily dressed but not too smart either - somewhere in the middle. I wore a bright coloured top, just something to make myself stand out. I also spoke out but was not too outspoken, if that makes sense?? Whatever it was, it worked for me!!!!!

By virtue of the fact that you have been invited for an audition, the researchers have seen something in your application that they liked. So very well done so far. Good luck and as I said, just be yourself.

Well I can't speak for lisa but my audition was an informal affair. A large room with about 150 people, you go in and they give you a sticker with your name and the place on it - then you get your picture taken wearing it. Then fill in a mammoth application form (you need a personal and a business reference) , it asks some quite random questions - I won't pretend I might have answered them well as I haven't had the call (yet ) After that you wait for a while adn are taken to a different room and filmed answering some questions in front of a camera. Don't worry for a second about any of it - the production staff are lovely and although very busy are up for answering any questions they can. A really smiley bunch of people. I also had some great chats with my fellow auditionees.

My advice is (though I'm not sure its worth much ha ha ) is just be your usual pleasant self and treat it like a fun couple of hours out. Oh and try not to torture yourself too much afterwards ........... hmmm, think I might need to take some of my own advice there

Neefs has summed up the audition process spot on, Crutlew. I was very lucky in that i received "the call" just a week after my audition but when i arrived in Bristol, I heard that some of my fellow contestants had been auditioned months ago and hadn't expected to get on so you never know. Don't give up hope - it might just happen when you least expect it!

Indeed, I had to wear a badge, smile for the camera, play a team game and then we were interviewed in front of a camera for 5 minutes individually.

I wore smart for me, which is probably scruffy for everyone else! A brown crochet top with a beige t-shirt under it, and jeans. I think I've worn it on TV a couple of times.
