An avatar, you mean?

Basically find a picture you want to use as an avatar, then use free uploading websites like imageshack.us to get a link to use, then make sure you have the right resolution box ticked so that when you copy and paste this link in the avatars URL box in your Settings, you'll hopefully have a nice, pretty avatar under your name on this site!

i thought there might be avaitars on this site to choose from?

Unfortunately not, however if you save the image you want to use...

go to www.imageshack.us

click browse and select the correct picture

Tick the first check box and change it to avatar

Tick the second box too

click "Upload"

Copy where it says "direct link to image" the last one I think?

click on your profile options on this site.

Ho down to where it says about avatar

Paste the link where it says "link to off-site"

then click submit.



I know it sounds really confusing, but after you do it a few times it gets as easy as cake!

this is proofing more dificult than i thought i eventurly manage to get an avatar sent my machine BUT its ether too big or too small, CAN'T WIN & being honist i have not done avatars this way before,its taken me awhile to figer this out

click reasize then leave the drop down box then host it.

copy the link and paste it here.

What me and Cookie have already said; when using imageshack, it gives you the option of what size you want your image to come out as.

If you're still having problems, then find whatever image you want as an avatar, then PM me the link to it and I'll make it for you and send you the link back via PM - then all you'll need to do is copy and paste this link in the URL field of the Avatar section in your Settings.
