Seriously, what is it with Tuesdays?

Looking at the stats, in all Tuesday games since September, there's only been one OPW with Valerie, and that's only because she swapped 10p for £10,000. Last big money Tuesday OPW was Nick D's £45,000 in August.

Everyone since then has either dealt too soon or dealt too early. Lucy won a neat £35,000 last week, but she still missed out on a load by dealing...and today, of course, Maggie had colossal bad luck, and it's a real wonder how she got £500 out of it.

Looking at Season 1 shows similar bad luck in July, although Tuesday was easily the best day during Double Deal Week, with wins of £19,900 and £31,000 (even though the latter wasn't *quite* an OPW). It's seen some of the show's lowest wins with Original Raj, Nick, and Dave E, but then again, it's also seen spectacular games like Vanessa, Germaine, Matt, Kirsty, Suzanne, Melanie, and especially Gaz, the second best OPW ever!

I'm not pouring any scorn on the contestants. Far from it, we've seen great characters on Tuesdays, such as Matt, Rosy and Spiky, but it makes it even more disappointing when they don't win what they deserve...

Shame on you...Vanessa played on a Thursday.

But yeah, Tuesdays have been rubbish lately. Tuesday wins in Series 3 so far:

So only Lucy managed anything remotely respectable...and even then she dealt too soon and (supposedly) could have had three times more. God, I do hope Jaye doesn't play next Tuesday...

It seemed to be the case with Wednesdays near the end of season 1 - the only decent game on a Wednesday in June/July was Linda E's, who sold her box for its value. Everyone else had a train wreck (Nessie, Scott, Wayne, Ashok, John) or a poor deal (Drew, Sue)!

I reckon Jaye will play earlier than that - and I also hope its not Brian next Tuesday!
