£125,000 Kirsty (1) (6th offer)
£101,000 Morris (6th offer)
£90,000 Daniel (2) (5th offer)
£62,000 Lynn (3) (6th offer)
£55,000 Shirley (5th offer)
£52,000 Jennifer (1) (5th offer)
£51,000 Kirsty (1) (5th offer)
£50,000 Stella (4th offer)
£48,000 Khanny (4th offer)
£45,000 Laura (6th offer)
£45,000 Georgina (4th offer)
£44,031 Claudine (5th offer)
£44,000 Di (5th offer)
£44,000 Fin (4th offer)
£44,000 Daniel (2) (4th offer)
£42,000 Bunney (4th offer)
£41,000 Graeme (5th offer)

So far only 15 players have turned down £40,000+ (Kirsty and Daniel did it twice).

Jennifer, Laura, Georgina, Claudine, Bunney and Graeme won more than the amount they no-dealed.
Morris, Shirley, Khanny, Di, Fin and Lynn won less (Khanny's £5,000 the lowest eventual win).
Stella actually won the same amount, dealing at the next offer which was a stick - and Kirsty and Daniel both had eventual wins which were in between the two high offers they rejected!

interesting list. i think £50,000 is probably a psychological barrier for a lot of people and probably myself, if I were to be on the show!

Most of these people had pretty strong boards except Fin, Di and Graeme and Laura who took reasonably big risks.

Well they all took risks obviously but Fin, Di, Graeme and Laura had more precarious boards

By comparison - 41 players have won £40,000 and above, of which 33 dealt - so there have been 47 in-play offers of £40k and over.

So the percentage of £40,000+ offers dealt is 33/47 = 70%. Which proves that the majority of people just couldn't turn down that amount of money, whatever the situation. The target-driven approach tends to take over, even for those without a pre-determined target!

Yes good point and i think certain players once they reach a certain amount of money, it's enough for them and they don't feel they can risk even if their board is really good. I'm going to use the recent Gaz as an example. He had a really strong board at 5 box but still just felt he couldn't no deal 70k even though he had reasonable odds and a 60% chance of at least 50k.

That's understandable though and most people, including myself probably think that way.
I would have probably done the same thing.

It seems an incredible amount to no-deal but perversely, in the context of the board, it was a no-brainer really. :?

yes I agree that's its an easy no deal. i would have done the same but its surprising that so few contestants have been in a position to no deal similar amounts of money.

I suppose in most situations there's at least one blue on the board so the contestant is effectively risking virtually all the money offered to them. In this case though, the lowest box remaining was £50,000 so she was only actually risking £12,000!

For me, if I had one blue left and four reds at Final Five point, as long as there was still more than one decent sum of money left, I'd go on because you'd be guaranteed at least a thousand pounds to play for at the end should the worst happen (depending on what red is left at the end).

I agree, gentleman james, Paul A, Bindya, Kathleen (,possibly Belinda) etc all made deals which were a missed oppurtunity on relatively safe stable boards. Understandably 3 blues and and 2 power 5s is a bit more dicey but if there are 3/4 good reds there is potential to carry on and not too much risk of disaster.

I think this thread needs to be bumped! Daniel's no deal at 90K today was amazing even with the very powerful board!

That was the highest offer no-dealed with a blue still on the baord, so that's a new record too!

I think Daniel would have looked for a good take out point if things didn't go well after the £90,000 no deal. He should have been guaranteed 5 figures but after yesterdays game i'm not too sure!
