Along the lines of the "how long since it was on the table" thread... deals for the same amount as a box value are not counted, only a player who no-deals to the end and opens it, either in their original box or a swap.

(Correct up to show 587, Mary 7/11/07. No need to even quote the line about Amanda's unbroadcast show now, as every amount has been won since then!)

1p - 99 (Adam 15/6/07)
10p - 26 (Lee 8/10/07)
50p - 41 (Viv 20/9/07)
£1 - 86 (Frazer 1/7/07)
£5 - 50 (Siobhan 10/9/07)
£10 - 22 (Rob 12/10/07)
£50 - 29 (Bernie 4/10/07)
£100 - 18 (Janet 17/10/07)*
£250 - 113 (Juliah 30/5/07)
£500 - 45 (Caroline 15/9/07)
£750 - 102 (Sam 12/6/07)

£1,000 - 43 (Carol 18/9/07)
£3,000 - 34 (Lisa 28/9/07)
£5,000 - 9 (Abed 27/10/07)
£10,000 - 0 (Mary 7/11/07)
£15,000 - 36 (James 26/9/07)
£20,000 - 2 (Charly 5/11/07)
£35,000- 74 (Rossano 13/8/07)
£50,000 - 62 (Jon G 27/8/07)
£75,000 - 6 (Chris B 31/10/07)
£100,000 - 37 (Maria 25/9/07)
£250,000 - 236 (Laura 7/1/07)

*Helen B (3/11/07) won £200, effectively the "doubled" £100 box amount on the 2nd birthday show.

So it's mainly the £35,000 then!

So nobody's gone to the end and opened one of the Power Five since Gaz? Blimey, didn't realise that. (Although I guess we have had two people get very close to doing that but give the big money away!)

No, and it's getting close to 100 shows without even a Rock or above!

The Rock, when it's been in the player's box, hasn't been won since Ron in June?! Wow!

In fact there's only been 8 games in the show's history where an amount of £20,000 or more has been won by going on to the end. They all happened between February and June. And two of those saw Morris and Kirsty get the lower of the two remaining amounts!

I think people have dealt at £20k since then.

Loads of people this season could have won more if they took it to the end, and there were two players who took it to the end, but swapped the big money away! I just wish they put Khanny back in the chair.

Excuse my ignorance, but how does the nickname "Rock" work? I don't get it... >_>

It comes from Bother's Bar, where they tend to analyse the games in quite a bit of detail - I think after Noel and contestants started to constantly say "That's OK" when the £20k went, people on there didn't believe it should be dismissed in this way - "Rock" I guess suggests something solid, a strong safety net/fallback position to have, which is the role this amount tends to play in the game.

Now updated to today's show - Margaret ended a wait of over 100 shows for £20,000 to be won without dealing.

There's now only 6 box amounts we haven't seen won in Season 2, two of which have never been won of course!

Updated for first time in months! Chantelle ended a wait of 283 shows for a £35,000 box winner, leaving £50,000, £100,000 and 10p the only ones yet to be won in season 2.

10p is fast becoming my favourite blue - if it becomes the longest running unwon box amount, then it will become the cult value, like 50p was before Dennis won it (well to me anyway). I just hope I don't become obsessed with it, like someone was with 50p. ;-)

How cool is winning 10p? :)

Not very. It sucks. You win practically nothing, and not even the thrill of getting in the 1p/50p clubs. Similar amounts are £1, £5 and £10.

£1, £5 and £10 are boring though, as lots of people have won them. The 10p club is the most exclusive blue club, apart from 50p of course, and it's such a long time since anyone won it as well!

I'll update this at some stage, but what's interesting is that nobody has gone all the way to the end and won a red since Chantelle, which was 31 shows ago - I believe that's an all-time record!

In fact only 4 people since then haven't dealt, winning £5 (Geoff), £50 (Ian), £250 (Philomena) and £500 (Jean).

I know! If recent players hadn't been characters in their game, the show would be rubbish at the moment!

And just one show later... :P

In just under 2 weeks it'll be a year since someone last won £50k by opening their box! Although now that I say that someone will probably do it tomorrow.
