Thanks Wakey, and it should be pointed out that those 78 contestants had the courage (in some instances some people might say stupidity!) to go all the way, so far that's 25.5% (around 1 in 4) of the 306 contestants who have played Deal Or No Deal so far.

Of those games involving those 78 contestants who rejected every banker offer:

Total payout: £319,894.28

Average payout: £ 4,101.21

59% of all the contestants that have no dealt every banker offer have ended up with a sum of money less than £1,000

21.8 % of contestants who have no dealt all the way ended up with a sum of money £10,000 or more

And that's only because the people who do have the big values in their boxes usually end up dealing, because they have a large offer.

It's funny to think that there have been 15 £20,000 winners, but only 3 have won it via a box :D

I don't think that term's ever actually been used on the show itself, but if the producers etc. look at the various websites I'm sure they will have come across it!

Interesting how we still get such a pattern of people with crap boards playing on to the end, and people with strong boards dealing. Given that it's over 100 shows since someone won £20,000 or more by going on to the end, perhaps the Banker needs to make some of the offers a bit tougher? Difficult job I know as it's hard to judge a player's exit fee, but there's been some situations where it's been such a clear-cut deal offer that the player might still have walked for £10k less.

Exactly, and I agree with what people have been saying on this thread, the banker needs to take more risks and make lower offers to encourage people to go on. It will not only make better television, but we will see more members of the £10,000 + clubs! The banker has recently got burnt through people accepting high third offers too and the games ending up as OPWs, so those need to be reconsidered too.

Funny how the 5 members of the "Power 5" club (those who won £35k or over by opening their box) all happened in about a six-week period from mid-March to May 2! Not one before and not one since!

We need it to happen again! :)

I thought it might be interesting to list the box clubs in the order they were founded, and who the founder members were!

1. £5,000, Oli (05/11/05)
2. 10p, Raj (29/11/05)
3. £10, James (02/12/05)
4. £10,000, Rob (13/12/05)
5. £250, Simon (23/12/05)
6. £5, Irene (02/01/06)
7. 1p, Nick (03/01/06)
8. £3,000, Pat (06/01/06)
9. £20,000, Vanessa (02/02/06)
10. £15,000, Gary (27/02/06)
11. £1, Mike (02/03/06)
12. £50,000, Saj (16/03/06)
13. £500, Jim R (18/03/06)
14. £35,000, Matt (21/03/06)
15. £75,000, Kirsty (04/04/06)
16. £1,000, Gabrielle (15/04/06)
17. £100,000, Gaz (02/05/06)
18. £100, John (19/07/06)
19. £50, Sarah (07/09/06)
20. £750, Ken (23/10/06)
21 & 22 (50p & £250,000)

Which box will be the last remaining unwon amount ? (I personally hope its 50p!)

I always find it odd that four of the last five unwon amounts were blues, it's more common that bad games mean playing on to the end!
