Yesterday's game (Conrad's) was number 2200, excluding the celebrity shows, so in an ideal world everything relating to a particular box should have happened exectly 100 times. In fact some things have -

boxes 3 and 10 have come to the table 100 times each
the £250,000 has come to the table 100 times - the score is banker 96, contestant 4 (Suzanne won £250k but did not bring it to the table)
the £20,000 has also come to the table 100 times.

For boxes coming to the table the lowest is 14 (78 times) and the highest is 17 (115 times). I am not a statistician, but I calculate the standard deviation (or to be more accurate my computer does) at 8.27. This I think is within the normal expectation for a sample of this size.

Similarly, for amounts coming to the table, the lowest is £75000 (79 times) and the highest is £1 (118 times).
1132 blues and 1068 reds have come to the table. The standard deviation is 8.63.

However, when you look at the location of the £250000 the position is rather different. It has been in boxes 13 (unlucky for some) and 22 (the death box) only 73 times, but in box 4 a whopping 126 times. The standard deviation is 16.34. Perhaps the independent adjudicator should look into this!

I'm sure these figures don't prove anything - I am certainly not suggesting that the game is not random!

That is why I always SWAP when 9 or 19 aren't on the table.

I don't tend to pay much attention to how often an amount has been in each box and frequencies of amounts/ box numbers at table, given of course it is totally random! :P

Interesting to look at though! :smt023

Thank you... I knew it would have it a lot of times. 3, 6 and 4 are my "special numbers"...

Like Tom Hanks and his football on that island in 'Cast Away', it looks like it's just me and the bots here now. But that's alright, we're having a grand old time. Aren't we, Wilson? WILSOOOON?!

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.
