So, another season of DOND ends, and certainly an eventful one. Here's a figurative review of the season:
Amount given away: £4,512,368.86 Average win during season: £15,722.54 Most Successful month: December (Average of £22,265.19 per show) Least Successful month: August (Average of £1,913.50 per show, with bonuses) 1p Winners: 5 £250,000 Winners: 1
(I might add to this in the coming days...)
Something else slightly interesting I was looking at was the average offer at each stage of the game, and it surprised me how low it was, dramatically so from a couple of years ago:
(This is based on shows 1044-1093, so excluding the recent 'seaside specials', and not counting proveout and swap offers):
1st Offer average: £6,256.07 2nd Offer average: £7,195.56 3rd Offer average: £7,449.54 4th Offer average: £9,387.90 5th Offer average: £10,836.85 6th Offer average: £7,339.17
Interesting the leap of virtually £2k from 11-box to 8-box offers, which shows the banker only really starts to take interest in purchasing the box at this point. 2-box is low, perhaps skewed by less offer data and quite a few players receiving dreadful offers at this point recently - it's virtually the-banker's-power-5-versus-£35k offer. It seems the days when 9k+ opening offers were virtually run-of-the-mill are well and truly gone.
