Okay everybody, it's the moment that literally one or two people have been waiting for! It's my HIGHLIGHTS OF ONE THOUSAND!

I've decided to change the format slightly and concentrate mainly on the strength of the boards we've seen. To create a bit of suspense (and not just because I'm too lazy to do it all in one go -- anybody that tells you otherwise is a liar), I'm going to update this thread one day at a time with the stats from each offer stage. Today it's the stats relating to the 17-box stage.

If anybody is desperate to know anything else relating to the 17-box stage -- most generous offers, where a particular game features in the list, maybe even the values of the quartiles, etc. -- then reply here and I'll answer. (Disclaimer: I'll only answer if it's not too much work for me to find out.)

STATS AT 17-BOX

Strength of board, according to mean
    1. Wrighty – 25-12-2006 – game 339 – £58,817.74 (£500k special)

Anybody got any guesses for who had the strongest and/or weakest 11-box boards? I'll be revealing those tomorrow...

Very quick favour, MisterAl

Is there any chance of uploading some stats for the unique offer stage games, eg the SANTA, TREAT, SUNSHINE and Banker's Birthday Card twists, and the odd exceptions such as the Love Week specials, Chris' game (where she was given an offer after each box without any twists), Carla's game, Natalie's game etc...

Well, I can give you a simple list of the games which have had offers at non-standard times, but unfortunately my spreadsheet isn't set up in such a way as to easily compare these offers to the mean/FD. (I'd have to work each one out individually, which seems like too much effort for me...)

So, do you want just the simple list?

(Quick quiz question: who was the first player to receive an extra offer at a non-standard time?)

Also, as I suggested before the other posts were lost, how about restricting the 2-box stats to "meaningful" situations, i.e. excluding all-blue final pairs?

Yeah the simple list is more than fine! Would just be very interesting to be able to compare them to each other, regardless of stage of game

As for the first show an extra offer was made, in terms of it being a twist it would surely have been the first Hallowe'en show of 2007 (Ben on the 29th?), failing that then is it Wrighty's show?

Wrighty was the second!

(I'll let you ponder a bit more before I give you the full list.)

Very good, MisterAl, very welldone mate. :) Interesting for me at least.

Here's a suggestion, and I could probably do this myself but I'll mention it anyway - how about a section for the bravest no-deals according to the mean aswell as the FD. As I say, I could probably do that if I had the time....I was just looking at the stats and thought that'd fit in nicely.

But, interesting stats....welldone.
