Ok, something new, useful for final offers.

Let's take £50,000 and £100,000 as a final 2.

Here, take £50,000 and make it £0. To make the equation equal take £50,000 off the £100,000 therefore giving £0/£50,000.

Find the average of that (£25,000).

Say the offer is £71,000 and then take £50,000 off that, giving £21,000. Then do the offer divide by the base average, times 100 to give a Base percentage of the offer. The Base Offer Average is 84% instead of the 94.*6*%

basically use this as an equation

L = Lowest amount
H = Highest amount
O = Offer
A = Average

(L-L)/(H-L)=A
((O-L)/A)*100 = Base Average.

What do you think?

I think you're going to get an A* in GCSE Statistics, if you were to take it up!

I don't think it's optional. I had to take it.

So basically what you are saying is ignore the amounts on the board and work out the % of the offer within the range of the differnce.

However if we have say £5/£75K left, it doesn't make much difference.

Say the offer was £30K. then it's 79.99% of the average and 79.98% by your new method.

It's more use if 2 higher numbers in play... say about £15k-£20k with another high amount.
