Despite huge shadows of eras on the show, it is still a mighty fine long list of worthy winners

It's been over a month since the last one, which was only just as it was Gemma's £35k!

So, just 5 in the first four months of this year. That compares to 11 in the same period of 2006, and an incredible 20 at the same stage in 2007!

When I look at the list for 2006 - Brenda's, Daz's, Sam's, Germaine's, Matt's and Kirsty's games all stand out as ones that had the "wow" factor for me. In 2007, even though there were 20, only Sarah, Bunney's, Doug's and Barry's really had the "wow" factor.

I think this is because the big wins in 2006 were quite spaced out, whereas in 2007, they seemed to be happening almost too often. It seems strange that people like Susan, Darren, Patrick, Gus and Frank actually won Power 5 amounts, and I'd forgotten about them as they happened so often back then!

This year it's the complete reverse and the few we've had haven't had the "wow" factor for me really. I think my favourite "mega win" so far this year is MJ's... Dot's was good too, I can't remember Nicola, Matt's seemed a bit flat and Gemma's was quite good, although her last offer was rather "forcing"...

I can't believe we have had only 7 wins over £35k in 2008, this will not be needing updating that often if it carries on like this.
