And why does Henman even bother these days exactly?

He might as well, but we have no hope of anyone passing the first round I don't think, except perhaps Alex Bogdanovic and Jamie Baker. I seeJustine Henin-Hardenne and Roger Federer winning overall.

You can't really see past Federer/Nadal, can you?

I fully expect Henman to be knocked out in the first round. It's a pity Murray is out - I would have liked to have seen him up close on grass. And it would have taken a lot of the attention/pressure off Henman.

Still, we all have the pleasure of seeing, quite probably, the greatest tennis of all time in action on our screens for a few weeks.

No Neighbours though :(

She's just Henin now actually - she got divorced. Apparently, her husband liked men and she wasn't down with that kind of thing.

With regards to Henman, he can definitely beat Moya in the first round and his draw is actually quite decent for a few rounds. But it is Henman.

I pick Roger & Serena.

OK so Federer and Roddick are safely through to the second round.

Martina Hingis suffered a shock first set loss, but managed to win the next two to also go through for the ladies.

And the best news of the day - Tim Henman was leading in his match before the weather ended today's play.

I thought it was dead level :? Maybe I'm going mad...

I wonder if the long departed golden_touch will be doing her line judging again this year?

I thought the same as Duffer, how was Tim Henman in front?

I miss Andre Agassi, he was always the highlight of wimbledon for me when i was younger.

I think he preempted the end of play a bit there, it's 5-5 in the final set when play resumes.

Well, he certainly took his time, but Tim Henman is through to face Feliciano Lopez tomorrow.

I posted that he was leading when rain stopped play and I thought coz of how late it was, play wouldn't resume that day.

Anyways yes he's through - woo!

As glad as I am to see Tiger Tim through, it means I lost £1 in a bet with the teacher I get a lift in with... :x

Well looks like you might get that quid back now...

After another hugely tense match, Tim Henman came back from two sets down to win the next two to tie his second round match 2-2.

Unfortunately he lost the deciding set...

So there we go - no Brits in the second week of the competition YET AGAIN!

Mmmm... I didn't get the £1 back because I foolishly forgot to make another bet with him. By the time I'd remembered he was two sets down and he wasn't interested. :?

We finally have a Brit win a title at Wimbledon with Jamie Murray winning with Jelena Jankovic in the mixed doubles.

Despite today's win by Federer, Nadal still has a 9-6 winning record against him in all their meetings. I think Nadal will win Wimbledon next year. He is still only 21, and improving.

In all honesty, I was more concerned about Murray and Kankovic winning than the males singles final.
