Biggest shock of the Paris Masters so far today; Jo-Wilfried Tsonga beating Novak Djokovic! Gives Murray a golden opportunity to close the gap further between the two's rankings!

David Nalbandian has ended Andy Murray's 14-match unbeaten run! :( :( :(

All four top seeds are now out; both Nadal and Federer pulled out of the tourny today because of injury.

In the Red Group of the Masters, Murray beat Roddick, while Simon stunned Federer!

Things could get VERY interesting if Murray beats Simon...

Stepanek has replaced Roddick, who has pulled out due to injury.

Murray has booked his place in the semi-finals after beating Simon. He's got Federer to play on Friday. Djokovic is so far the other confirmed semi-finalist.

Well Murray lost in the semi-final, but it was Djokovic who won the tournament!

But Lewis Hamilton is a champion in his sport. Murray, for all his recent good form, isn't.

Dream start to 2009 for Murray in the exhibition tournament on at the moment...beating James Blake 6-2 6-2!

He faces Federer in the semi-finals; the other last four tie is between Davydenko and Nadal.

Epic final going on at the moment between Murray and Nadal.

Both have won a set each - we're now into the decider...

An ideal warm up for the big one starting on 19th Jan (the Aussie open)

Surprise surprise, Murray's blinding start to 2009 has seen him become the bookies favourite to win the Australian Open, which starts on Monday. Reflecting on world rankings, he's only seeded fourth though.

But the big fact is this; should Djokovic make further progress than Federer in this tournament, the Serb will become the new world number two, giving Federer an even more uphill challenge to reclaim the top spot!

British hope is near-enough lost in the women's singles in the Australian Open as Keothavong has been knocked out in the first round along with two of the other three British entries...the one remaining (name I need to get) I think is still in...but Jankovic and Ivanovic are through to the second round.

In the men's draw, it's full steam ahead for Federer, Djokovic, Ferrer, Roddick and Del Potro who are all in the second round now...and Marat Safin has also progressed.

Murray's first round match kicks off at midnight our time.
