It's the time everyone's been waiting for, as the table is again updated. :D

The results were-
Hull 1-2 Derby
Leicester 3-1 Ipswich
QPR 2-0 Southend
Sunderland 2-3 Plymouth
Brighton 2-2 Brentford
Doncaster 0-0 Tranmere
Northampton 0-1 Forest
Oldham 1-0 Swansea
Bris. Rovers 1-0 Grimsby
Hereford 2-0 Chester
Mansfield 1-1 Stockport
Walsall 2-0 Hartlepool
Wrexham 0-0 Peterboro

A monumentous 18 points from greeny catapults him into the lead, with Will also reaching double figures this week, helping his position in the table. Competition is hotting up as we enter the third week, fixtures are up now and ready to predict. :-D

walsh gets the most points this week, to help move him up the table, but it's still tight. :-D

Next week's fixtures are up now.

I'm off on holiday this week, so if someone wants to run this while I'm away, go for it.

What we need is score draw predictions
Who is the champ at finding draws?
I want to win the pools!

Bump. :smt026

I'd be interested in starting this up again, if anyone else is interested in partaking.

Would be same scoring method as originally - 3pts for score, 1pt for result only, zero for nothing.
No 'Golden Game' though yet as I'm not familiar with it. Keeping it simple for now. :smt023

(EDIT: Keeping it simple - I'm thinking of either just doing the Premier League, or having maybe a total of 16 fixtures. I might set those fixtures out first, or maybe 16 is too many? Actually, if you're interested in doing it, would you prefer 16 or, say, 8 or 12? I just like even numbers, that's all :-D ).

Posting this now so it hopefully gathers some momentum in time for next season.... :P

So yeah, I don't expect miracles but, any takers?

I would say have maybe 3 or 4 from the PL, 1 or 2 from the Championship and another 1 or 2 from the Scottish PL.

And can I suggest an amendment to the scoring system? When I've done this sort of thing before, it's been 1 point for a correct score, and then 3 points for a correct result.

So for example, if I predicted Man U would beat Fulham 3-2, but it actually finished 2-1 to Fulham, then I would get 1 point for guessing Fulham's score correctly, but nothing else. If it did finish 3-2 in the way of the Mancunians, I would get 5 points (2x1pt for the 2 correct scores, plus 3 for the correct full result). How does that sound.

Interesting, I haven't done it like that before but I'm massively inexperienced, I've only ever done it alone on a "1 point for score, 1 point for result" basis, for fun.

I mean this would be for fun as well, obviously, I'm in no position to offer financial rewards to anyone. :P (Yet).

So, how did you guess Fulham's score right - because Fulham scored 2 as predicted? That way I understand, yeah. So the point is given if the losing side scored the number of goals predicted, even if the result went against you?

This is making sense to me. And 3 points for the result, yes. I'm happy going along with that. I'd even suggest another point for perfect score on top of a correct result....

I was just making that prediction up. And yes, even if Fulham lost but scored 2 goals, I would get that point anyway.

As for the extra point, I'm not entirely sure about that I'm afraid. If it was included, I would get confused, honesty, so...

Yeah, I knew you'd made the prediction up, don't worry  :P

The extra point was just another idea; I admit it even confuses me, and I'm the one who came up with it. So maybe we'll leave that one out, for a while at least. :smt023
