Day 5 of the tournement and the matches today are...

South Korea v Togo
France v Switzerland
Brazil v Croatia

Match 2 is a tough one for me as I hate both those teams and good luck to Croatia. That's not in a sarcastic way, cos they are actaully quite a good side.

South Korea v Togo will be interesting.

Apparently the Togo players rejected an offer of £120,000 each for qualifying, plus win and draw bonuses, as they felt they should get more. The consequences were as damaging as they would have been for a certain DoND player had she rejected £120,000 (:p); the coach (who had himself only taken over a few months ago) resigned with days remaining before their first match, they have another one now, and they are a side in chaos.

If South Korea can't destroy them, it will be proof (if proof were needed) that they only made the semi-finals last time with the help of playing with fifteen men - 11 players, the referee, two assistants and the crowd.

You'd expect a walkover for Brazil but...

Sweden 0 Trinidad 0
Poland 0 Ecuador 2
Japan 1 Australia 3

Croatia 0 Brazil 2 is my prediction.

KP - don't you mean 50,015?

11 players
4 officials
50,000 in the crowd...

It got going in the second half, but the first half was a bit dull and the players were all over the place.

The French have be so dissapointing.

Zidane, Ribery, Henry, Viera - they look shadows of the players they are.

The French fly out of the blocks then with a stunning 0-0 draw!

Pathetic performance. It's a good job they're in an easy group.

I thought that Brazil played really poor compared to how ive seen them other times. Ronaldo & Adriano looked well past it. Ronalsiniho was the player that carried them through the game. Before the match I said that Brazil will win 4/5 nil but I was well wrong. Croatia defended well apart from Kaka's goal which was a fantstic strike. Dado Prso also had a few good shots. If Brazil dont pick up they wont win teh world Cup this year i think that Argentina has a good chance

Argentina were awsome today.

Their passing and movement is f*****g brilliant, no other team can match them when it comes to movement on and off the ball. They outpass and outclass every other team in the tournament.

Cambiasso's goal was one of the best I've ever seen. 24 passes involved in the goal. England need to watch and learn, they aren't capable of stringing 4 passes along nevermind 24.
