Holland have just beaten Serbia & Monty 1-0 with a goal from Robben. Next match up is Mexico v Iran and Portugal v Angola.

Could be two slaughters coming up - not that many of us will be watching the second one! :D

That said, nobody saw Sweden failing to beat Trinidad and Tobago... but that's probably partly due to the conditions (and the inspired Shaka Hislop), whereas all four countries involved in these two theoretical mismatches have very hot climates most of the year.

Portugal v Angola could be fun though - Angola was once a Portugese colony, and Senegal beat their former colonial masters France 1-0 in 2002 en route to the last eight... anything could happen!

Not sure Iran or Angola will roll over, or that Mexico and Portugal will be the sort of sides to run up a cricket score either.

If Group C which we've just watched is likely to be the most attractive for the neutral, Group D has to be the least inspiring line-up. But maybe there will be one or two surprise results in there.

This has been a great World Cup so far for my holiday fund!

I am avoiding the Games that I am a little wary of and betting on the ones where my head says who would you pick if your life depended on it.

I am taking Portugal to beat Angola later on tonight but Mexico v Iran doesnt make me want to bet at all.

Group E is tougher than Group C, as all 4 teams are good and all stand an equal chance of beating the other teams,

Iran 1-1 Mexico at the moment. Very close game, it could go either way! :)

Angola, who most people think will be the whipping boys of this World Cup, are doing OK against Portugal. They went 1-0 down early in the game and have prevented Portugal from running riot. Can't see Angola getting anything from the game but they've made a few people eat their words - me included!
