I have made a sticky in the 250k section to stop the general discussion forum getting out of hand with world cup topic's

so you can discuss the world cup in just one topic

1) what's the point in having a world cup thread in the 250k competition section? please, point it out if I'm missing something obvious...

2) TOPICS, not "topic's" - the letter "s" does serve some other purpose than being used before an apostrophe, I promise. Look, it's in thirteen other words in this sentence! Crazy stuff, eh?

Wow. What a comeback.

Consider me told. I'll just go and cower in a corner.

Oh, and the idea was that you told me what the point was of having a world cup thread in the 250k competition forum. in case you didn't understand.

I'm as bad with people who can't use grammar correctly. But then I start sentences with the wrong words too!

David has started a World Cup thread over in the 250k section as that's the only section where he's a moderator. I mean, he has to have something to be in charge of! ;)

I agree about grammar too. Mis-use of apostrophes is possibly my biggest pet peeve. It's not hard people!

LOL

It does seem to be inappropriate for the World Cup thread to be in the 250k comp forum.

Would now be a bad time to mention the apostrophe in the word days?

David, we don't mean it. It's a bit of fun!

Seriously David, we do not mean it or mean to insult you. I personally think the grammar correcting is very, very pedantic myself.
