USA!!

What a thrashing of Spain!

2-0 might not be a thrashing to us but to them it certainly is, bearing in mind how long Spain had been unbeaten for, and were gunning for a new world record by avoiding defeat tonight!

I've just been reading that Prince William and Prince Harry have been following Shrewsbury through the playoffs (turning up at the home game against Bury) and apparently coming to a few games next season while they are training at RAF Shawbury. So what with William being President of the FA I'd say we are sure fire favourites for the FA Cup next season... Although I thought they were more into the rugby myself. :ponder:

Speaking of rugby, have you seen Manchester United's new home strip?

OK, firstly Harty's penalty was quality; roofing the net with such power! Secondly, why the bloody hell was he booked? For pulling faces at Borg? For god sake, as Psycho said in the interview after the match, there is no rule against the goalie interacting with the penalty taker. What a quality save he made to deny the competition's top scorer, who is surely on his way to a big club this transfer window!

No Gabby, no Campbell (he knew he was already walking; he was already off the pitch before the red card came out!), and POSSIBLY no Harty...Psycho's going to appeal, and rightly so. Psycho is a legend (I'm biased but so what!) and what he said tonight was completely true; he was made to put his money where his mouth was, and not only did he pull it off, but he's got rid of the penalty jinx of England international football!

Oh and he was also right about England disrespecting Sweden by switching off.

Now then...bring on Germany!

Chances of Hart's booking being revoked are minimal I'm afraid,. UEFA rarely overturn cards given by the ref.

Hart's appeal has been rejected. He's out of the Final :|

What an amazing comeback from Brazil to come from two goals down and beat the USA 3-2 in the Confederations Cup Final!

I still think the 3rd Place Play-Off was better; three amazing goals in the last couple of minutes! Then Alonso's stunning winner too!

Really sad news released today about former Celtic and West Brom striker John Hartson being overwhelmed with cancer in his brain, lungs and in his testicle.

He's only in his mid-30s too...really hoping he pulls through!

Man C sign Adebayor! So Robinhio, Tevez, Adebayor, Bellamy, Caicedo, Jo, Santa Cruz, Bojinov, Mwaruwiwiwiwiw and Ched Evans are all the strikers on Man C's books currently... they're not going to have a striker problem anytime soon.

Oh Owen scored the winner for United in a friendly today as well...

Was a typical Owen finish too; the best goal of the game was easily the rifled lob over van der Sar...talk about helpless!

Ched Evans is meant to be having talks with Sheffield United this next week too.

Yeah, Forest destroyed Burton today; a Tyson hat-trick and McGoldrick scoring!

And at 40 years old, Dean Windass is still scoring fine; scoring a brace in Darlington's 7-2 defeat to Newcastle today

There Sols, £200,000 alright for Lynch?

We'll chuck one of our best youngsters your way on loan (Matt Thornhill) to sweeten the deal too!

Sounds about right. I hope this Thornhill is good, we must have about 10 new players already.

He's a quality midfielder, breaking into the first team last season. But Forest are going for the play-offs this season, and with all due respect to the lad, McGugan, Cohen, and new signing McKenna are in the team to do that for us. He's got bags of quality.
