The Australian Open is upon us, and you can follow the action with me, granitecitybino and co. in the Tennis thread.

In the meantime, let's see how many of us actually think Andy Murray will live up to the expectations, having being installed as bookies' favourite to win the Grand Slam...and be the first Brit to win one for more then 70 years!

As my signature declares, I'm backing him to go all the way, but what do all of you think?

At present, he is in the second round, and suffice to say faces a relatively easy opponent. The further he progresses, I'll reset and reupdate the voting choices.

As much as I'd love him to win... the heat will get to him and he'll be out in the Semis...

He won't win, but I think he'll reach the semis.

The way the draw is panned out, should he make the semis he'll almost certainly meet Rafael Nadal.

I think Murray has matured, and has what it takes to win a Slam this year, hopefully it will be
this one as he has the momentum of beating all the top players, so his confidence should be high.

He had a great first week with not too much taken out of him, and has the gameplan to beat anyone.

I think we'll see the slams shared between the Top 4 in the next couple of years.

Fernando Verdasco has knocked him out in the fourth round...it was a long, brave match too! :(
