One of the hottest talking points in the English game at the moment by far; Keano has suddenly started dropping severe hints that he's planning to leave the club in the very near future.

He's done such a lot for Sunderland in the 2 1/2 seasons he's been at the club; taken them from the Championship relegation zone to a recognised Premier League club! But now the pressure is starting to fall on the club as they are now involved in what could prove to be a harsh relegation fight.

The growing rumours are that if Sunderland don't get anything from the Theatre of Dreams at the weekend (away to Manchester United), Keano's resignation will shortly follow the final whistle. But do you reckon he should stay and at least get Sunderland out of the mess he's supposedly gotten them into?

I personally think the club aren't going to benefit in the slightest if Keano leaves - there aren't many more talented young managers out there who could do a better job that him at the moment...oh and last time I checked, Roy Keane wasn't a quitter!!! So I really hope he stays on...and past this season too!

He should stay. This is the first bad thing that's really happened to the club in two and a half years and suddenly our fans are on his back.

The Sunderland fans are nearly as bad as the Toon fans when it comes to getting on the managers back it's ridiuclous... Keane is a great manager.. (well you cant say anything else in case he comes to your house and stares at you through the window with his arms folded..)

Roy Keane has resigned this morning.

Sam Allardyce is the early favourite to replace him.

There's going to be so much speculation someone has to get it right eventually...
