Listening to 606 on the radio, and they're discussing two-footed tackles. Several are saying that they should be punishable with an assault charge, others say they should be left if the player gets the ball. Opinions? I think that a 3-game ban is fine the way it is, but referees are not punishing bad tackles properly (like Villa vs. Sunderland last week, Yorke kicked in the chest, two-footed, yellow card)

There was a couple today; Ricardo Carvalho in Chelsea's game against Villa, and Brynjar Gunnarsson in Reading's game against West Ham. Both were very nasty challenges and were both deserving of their marching orders!

I tell you, the Chelsea-Villa game was like a Christmas carol; eight goals, three red cards, two penalties - but no partridge in a pear tree!!! But we did finally see some Shevchenko magic; not just scoring a penalty, but also an absolute screamer!

Best game of the day though had to have been Luton's game against Bristol Rovers in League One; they amazingly held Rovers to a 1-1 draw...with EIGHT men left on the pitch!!!
