Full time:

Sunderland 1-0 Tottenham

KEANE IS A GENIUS! It was largely a dull match, but the last 15 minutes was brilliant! Berbatov looked peeved off for being replaced by Defoe, but then Craig Gordon began to prove his £9million price tag.

And then so did Michael Chopra; in the last minute of the game he scored the winner.

What a start for Sunderland! Having said that, what a start for Tottenham!

Well if we keep the scores on this thread, it might neaten up both threads; if we posted comments etc. on the other thread and used this thread for results, what you think?

If it's a crappy idea, it can obviously be scrapped!

Good idea, although the thread should be renamed accordingly

And the first leaders of League Two are... Shrewsbury!! We won convincingly away from home against the more favoured side Lincoln 4-0!

I'm happy with our 2-1 win over Wigan, it's a solid start to the season. I thought the Sunderland match was rather dull, but well done on that dramatic winner.

ITA greeny!

And a good result for Everton - but I was still stunned that it was Sibierski who scored Wigan's goal!

Tom, we can use this thread for all the results, and every week just channge the name of the thread, couldn't we?

EDIT: The Conference is now called The Blue Square Premier League - WTF?!?!?!?!?

Fantastic finish - 2-1 to the Kop!

Can I just quickly say, Gerrard's goal should definitely be considered for Goal of the Season, it was a BELTER!

Well done Tom! Great victory for you today.. I'm pretty happy with Big Sam's first game in charge... I never thought we'd win convincingly at Bolton, but to be three up in half an hour. Wow! Top of the league! Only another 37 games to hold on.

Well done to Sunderland too, even if they needed a former Magpie to win! :P

He's big and he's fkn hard... Ste Gerrard, Gerrard!

Whoooooooooooooooo!

Thought it was going to be a typical LFC day - play well, dominate and create loads of chances but don't win.

Arsenal left it late but they beat Fulham 2-1; coming from a goal behind after a complete howler by Jens Lehmann.

Then van Persie converted a penalty to level things up and Alaiksander Hleb scored the winner!

Arsenal 2 Fulham 1
While the Cottagers scored first, it was never meant to be, and the Gunners overcame their opponents. Of course, Arsenal being Arsenal, they scored in injury time.

Chelsea 3 Birmingham 2
Malouda and Pizarro looked to have cancelled out former player Forsell's strike, but Kapo silenced the Bridge with a cracking shot from 15 yards. Chelsea hit back just after half-time with Essien.

I'm watching the Chelsea game now; it's City who are playing better ATM, just IMAGINE if they even got a point from the game? Bearing in mind so far the other big clubs have won!
