The rules are simple and yet create a complicated game. There are 24 boxes - the standard UK 22 plus £25k and £150k. They're pre-randomised into green, grey, and gold. You open boxes one at a time, and once you get to five or two left on one colour board, you get an offer. If you turn them both down, once you reveal the penultimate box on that board, you win the last one standing.

Here's the trick. You can only win on two of the three boards. So the timing of when you deal has a whole extra dimension!

Tonight's configuration is as follows:

50p
£10
£100
£250
£1,000
£5,000
£25,000
£50,000

£1
£750
£3,000
£10,000
£20,000
£35,000
£150,000
£250,000

1p
10p
£5
£50
£500
£15,000
£75,000
£100,000

You don't bring a box to the table in this - just pick boxes. Three to start, and then we'll see where we stand.

23 - £3,000 - fantastic! That takes you closer to an offer on the great grey board!
24 - £35,000 - not so fantastic, but it does the same thing...
1 - £10,000! WE HAVE AN EARLY OFFER!

£1
£750
£20,000
£150,000
£250,000

Now, remember that you could have a run of boxes on the other colours and never get the chance to win off this board at all. Banker says you could consider the strategy of taking this to guarantee a good sum of money, then chasing the big money elsewhere on the board.

BANKER'S OFFER

£36,000

Let's see where we're at after these three! They could be from anywhere!

20 - £100,000! Top of the gold has gone.
11 - £250,000! Boom goes the dynamite. :O Still £150k to play for there...
6 - £150,000! Oh.

I'm scared I'll be accused of fixing this. :O

Post three more, and I'll stop you if there's one grey or two gold.

Oh for goodness sake!

Has anybody ever taken out half a million pounds in a single round before on a 250k max board?

3, 22 and 14

3 - £5,000. Even that is the third highest on green.
22 - 1p! Hurrah?
14 - £500 - hurrah!

And that takes us to a 5-box offer on gold.

10p
£5
£50
£15,000
£75,000

This is your strongest board now, unbelievably... so he knows it won't be easy to stop you playing on it, but he also knows you've just had the mother, father, and ugly sister of all reminders that in this game, it's often worth quitting while you're ahead.

BANKER'S OFFER

£7,000

We'll stop you once you hit an offer...

2 - £20,000! Oh, Margaret the goddess of random numbers has decided to SMITE YOU. You're now left with this as a two-box pairing...

£1
£750

And remember, you'll win one of these as soon as you hit the other unless you can deal out of both of the other boards before then. Hence this AMO:

 BANKER'S OFFER

£470

Essentially crossing his fingers for no greys there! There's a reason it was an AMO of course.

Where now?

9 - £750 - so much for trying to dodge the bullet there, you're left with only the £1 on grey and that's what you win.

You can only win on one other board!

15 - £50,000! And at this rate you won't get much there either.

One more green or three more golds to the next offer. Pick there and I'll stop you if and when necessary...

Summed up perfectly...

12 - £250 and we have a potential source of salvation...

50p
£10
£100
£1,000
£25,000

Remember, you'll win from either this board or the gold one. The latter looks a bit stronger with the £15k and £75k, but we've seen you hit the 10% chance already...

BANKER'S OFFER

£3,500

19 - £50! Bazinga!
13 - £1 - that's that one out of the way.

Pick three. If the first two are gold, I'll stop you there...

7 - £25,000! Oh, we need a low gold now...
16 - £10, it's the wrong colour for what we need now...
21 - 50p, and that means offer time on green!

£100
£1,000

There are six boxes left. If you play on and hit two golds before either green - assuming they're not £15k and £75k - you still have a shot at something good. If you hit either green at any point, the game is over and you leave with the other green plus a pound.

This could be your only way to a red win.

 BANKER'S OFFER

£999
