I calculated the odds of finding the 12 blues (counting the £1,000 as an honorary blue) to be:

Well in her game I'd be trying to get back some of the money I lost after saying no to £44k, but it was a real effort to get £15k in the game above so I wouldn't have wanted to buy it! I'd be more prone to gambling in the former case given the circumstances
