Well, I've had a very productive half an hour, as it seems once you've made one DoND game it makes it much easier to program others! As it happens, I've been working on Le Banquier as requested by Dr. Hindsight, and here's a screenshot from my first test game which is going rather well! (Ignore the pound sign in the offer, that needs changing :P )

More updates as they arrive! :smt023

Holy boats, that was quick ! I always thought that these games required several hours of work to create.

There are a few changes I'd like to propose:

1. The font for the the amounts and the offers should be bolder.

2. Deal and No Deal should be replaced with ACCEPTÉE (Deal) and REFUSÉE (No Deal).

3. The $25 amount should be changed to $20.

4. On the actual show, the amounts are written out in the "French" way, which places the dollar sign after the amount. Examples: 0,01 $, 500 $, 175 000 $.

Other than that, I think this is a very faithful reproduction. I can't want to use it :smt023.

1. This may possibly happen, but Visual Basic seems to have an issue with True Type fonts, and I know the font you mean, it's a Eurostile Extended font. However, the one on my PC is not one Visual Basic likes and won't work, yet. I'll try work around this, though!

2. I was just getting around to that ;)

3. Easily done!

4. Also fine! I was wondering if this was the case, but I wasn't sure.

If you think of anything else, just drop a post in this thread!

Another thing is that unlike the UK version, the contestant chooses their own case at the beginning of the game, so that should definitely be included.

It is, of course! I assume like the US version there are no hypo-swaps?

Nope. In fact, the swap has only been offered once in live play in seven years !

Well, somewhat remarkably, I'm almost ready to release this! Maybe even as soon as Boxing Day, it's all looking good! :D

Very much looking forward to it, Aaron. I'll be using it for Season 2 of Le Banquier :smt023.

Sorry to bump the thread, but are there any updates on the Le Banquier game, Aaron?

This is very nearly ready for release, as all I need to do is sort out the stat collection then it's good to go! Included in this release will be a customisable version of DoND USA that includes two jackpot modes and custom jackpot modes, along with the standard mode! In the future I'm planning on creating fully customisable boards along with some other specific formats (e.g. other international versions and some boards from this forum), so keep your eyes peeled! :smt023
