I've got exactly the same offer in that situation before. I think the NBC game's attempt to incorporate utility theory into the final decision failed miserably :D

i had EXACTLY the same offer but with $300,000 and $400,000

as itiparanoid13 said in the "dutch online game" topic this was copied and edited from that game.
