OOF, really unlucky to hit the 11% chance of disaster there at 8 box.
Probably would've done the same with the generosity patterns of Aaron's game. Facing the IRL Banker and the likelihood of a forcing offer on a 1 box game I'd be more tempted to take it, though.

The next series begins immediately after the premiere of the Deal or No Deal revival.
A reasonable offer, but I think there's a big offer awaiting should this round work out.
So NO DEAL it is!
Round 5...
Box 8 - £50,000 Box 13 - 50p Box 21 - £20,000
Banker time on a (in terms of significant money) 1 box game...
BANKER'S OFFER
£7,000
Pretty fair given 2 big reds went this round, but with that £100,000 is there, I can't help but feel it's worth one last round.
A risky one here, but it's still NO DEAL
Now, fingers crossed for Round 6...
Box 6 - £250 Box 3 - 1p
Time to hit that *BUTTON*
...
BANKER'S OFFER
£19,000
A tricky one here, the £100,000 going would be the only good result if I deal, and the only bad result if I no deal. I still have a backup of £5,000 as well...
So, a huge offer could be on my way, which is why it's a
NO DEAL
Last box of Round 6...
Box 22 - Will the gamble pay off?....
£5,000 Yes!
And with £750 and £100,000 left on the board, let's hear what the Banker has got to say!
A tough game this has been, and the final offer of this game, is...
£27,000
Pretty good. A significant drop if the gamble weren't to pay off. I feel I've had quite a lot of luck already in this game, and that this would be a good amount to take on the board. So, with that said, I have decided to
DEAL - £27,000!
Surprisingly, the Banker WOULDN'T have phoned back to offer the swap, so Box 18 is the one we're opening. Was it a case of there being no fear of either box after declining £19,000, and that actually, picking 7 would have got a better offer? Or actually, did my selection turn out to be the right one gaining me a further £8,000?
Box 18 -
£750Yes it was!
Box 7, had I gone for it, would have caused huge damage - £100,000
Now, one final act of the game, Box 23!
£54,000 £37,000 £27,000 £13,500 NOTHING
It's very tempting, with 2/5 of the possibilities giving a Power 5 win, but it is a big risk, and I am pleased with my £27,000. So NO DEAL
I have BOX 1 on the table, and 5 boxes to open in Round 1:
Box 10 - £750
Box 4 - £5,000
Box 6 - £50,000
Box 14 - £100,000
Box 15 - £250
Reasonable start. But now it's BUTTON time. I get hold of it if my prediction of the offer is within 10% of the band. I think that this would be a fair enough prediction:
PLAYER'S PREDICTION
£8,200
Is my prediction enough to get the button...?
BANKER'S OFFER
£7,333
No!
Unfortunately, the band covered £6,599.70-£8,066.30, meaning I was out by just £133.70.
Anyway, £7,333 isn't too bad an offer with that start, but it is, of course, a NO DEAL.
Now we're on to Round 2, so time to open a further 3 boxes...
Box 5 - £35,000
A bit of a dent there given the hits in Round 1.
Box 13 - £100
GLENDA will be the one carrying Box 23 into play at the end of this game. Here's a quick reminder of what could occur:
DOUBLE +£10,000 MONEY BACK HALF NOTHING
Time will tell as to whether or not I feel brave enough to buy it.
We still have one more box to open in this round, and that is...
Box 2 - £20,000
RING
It's Banker time, and again a pretty average round, let's see what difference has been made with the offer.
BANKER'S OFFER
£7,333
None, surprisingly. The offer is once again surprisingly £7,333. Still fair for the board, but there's still so much in it. So once again, I'm choosing to NO DEAL.
We now go on to Round 3, the top 7 is still there, let's start getting rid of some of it:
Box 7 - £15,000
Ouch, yet again another big hit and now that opens the gap from £10,000-£75,000 now. Got to hold onto the safety nets.
Box 3 - £50 Much better, and hopefully another blue to end the round.
Box 9 - £3,000 Another red eaten up, but of course that could have been a lot worse.
RING
An interesting board at this stage, huge disaster could strike, but also it could go so perfectly well. This time, Box 1 has a valuation of:
BANKER'S OFFER
£9,900
A decent increase there of over £2,500. There's just about 3 amounts higher however, 2 of which are huge life-changers. It's a tempting offer, but again, so much left in the game. So once again, I feel that there is another round worth going for, so it is indeed a NO DEAL.
Fingers crossed for a comfortable round now, and we definitely need to try and get rid of that block of 6 which the Banker is probably enjoying the sight of muchly.
Round 4:
Box 18 - £10
Another good start to the round! The Banker's Power 5 is still there though, can we start making some removals now? Hopefully...
Box 8 - £250,000
OH DEAR! That's certainly changed things now, we must hold onto that £75,000 now if we want to see an offer bigger than the last at any stage now in the game.
Hopefully a positive end to the round now though...
Box 11 - £10,000
What a shocker. A very uncomfortable situation now, as it's very much a one-box game, and the Banker still has ALL of his Power 5 in play at 8 box. But this is FAR from over though, £75,000 is still in the game, and we also have Box 23 to consider.
RING
The Banker wants me to think carefully about this one, as compared to the rest of the board other than the £75,000, it's pretty good...
BANKER'S OFFER
£2,900
It's a tough one because once that £75,000 goes in terms of the main body of the game there isn't really much to play for. However 23 can still be a huge saviour, but in realistic terms, it would be quite a long shot. Only 2 people have put their deal lights on here, and it's because they fear the £75,000 will be gone in the next round and they'd like to consider using what they see it as sensible money on Box 23.
I feel it's worth the gamble though and that I've just got to hold onto that £75,000. So it is once again a NO DEAL.
The Banker phones back to warn that there is a 1/56 chance that the 5 box could consist of his dream, and our nightmare. So we really must try and have an all blue round now...
Round 5:
Box 20 - 50p
At last! It took quite a while but finally one of his power 5 and now no chance of his dream 5. There's still 5 blues though, let's try and get at least another 2...
Box 12 - £1
GET IN! Another one of his Power 5, and we're nearly there at what is likely to be a very nice offer. Hopefully the £75,000 remains, pretty much anything else now can be lived with, but the smaller the better in this scenario...
Box 22 - £500
Thank goodness the death box did not strike and we are in a much more comfortable situation now after an all blue round!
RING
The Banker admits that he sees quite a bit of a gambler within me, and how I look like I just want to grab that £75,000 with both hands. So he now wants to try and now put me in a tough position, but at the same time he sees this as an impressive valuation...
BANKER'S OFFER
£6,555
Huge applause for a generous offer. I agree with the Banker that today I have felt like some big risks have been worth taking, but sadly I haven't really had much chance of proving myself with that. However I see this as a good board to show some bravery on. Therefore, potentially regretfully, I say NO DEAL.
This is now incredibly tense, there is no button game, so 3 boxes have to be opened here. The best is all we can hope for now...
Round 6:
Box 19 - £75,000 Silence is amongst the studio as the last big red in the game goes. I'm still upbeat and am now focusing on getting the £1,000 before focusing on Box 23!
It was worth a shot at the end of the day, bet let's try and still give it as much of a shot as we can.
Box 16 - 10p Pretty good, that's one blue out of the way, hopefully another is about to come and not the final groan!
Box 21 - 1p Worth the kiss that one as our nightmare 2 have been removed from the game.
So we're on a £5 against £1,000 climax. Given where we were at 8 box though with just 2 reds, still having 1 at 2 box isn't all that bad.
RING
The Banker says that Box 23 is worth considering when making my decision on this one.
BANKER'S OFFER
£385
It's quite a good offer for what's there. £385 is certainly a lot better than £5 and that doubled makes a good amount at £760 which is actually greater than the highest blue. But given the gamble I took at 5 box, I don't want to sound defeatist. I've always liked the idea of going to the end and getting a red out of my box, and that is still possible. So indeed going to the end is what I am going to do, as it is a NO DEAL.
RING
The Banker says that given the bravery that I have shown, a swap is deserved on this occasion. I haven't got any feelings about Box 17, the other number, however, so it's a NO SWAP.
A really difficult game this one, so hopefully there's a good amount in here that will be interesting to have in play when it comes to Box 23.
My Box Number 1 is revealed to have -
£1,000
Excellent stuff, and quite a relief. Box 17 is where the £5 is.
And now, time for the final act of the game as Glenda brings Box 23 to the table. We take a look at the money menu, which looks like this for me:
£2,000 £11,000 £1,000 £500 NOTHING
Part of me sees £1,000 as a decent enough reward, but then again it is a healthy gamble when there's potentially the top of the game, £11,000 to be won. I did say I'd like to try and give it as much of a shot as I can, which is exactly what I'm going to be doing now as I say DEAL to Box 23!
Let's hope this isn't going to turn out to be salt in the wound for not having the big gamble pay off in any way, and that actually this is going to be a lovely comeback where we surpass the top of the game and everybody's happy!
Box 23 is revealed to have -
MONEY BACK.
So not too bad of a result in the end. Obviously +£10,000 or even DOUBLE would have been lovely, but £1,000 is a healthy sum to be taking away after what was a difficult game so I'm pleased.
Been quite a while since I did one of these. I have BOX 5 on the table today.
Round 1:
Box 4 - £15,000
Box 17 - £3,000
Box 8 - £10,000
Box 7 - £50 Finally a blue!
Box 6 - £250
Now time for the offer button prediction...
This round feels appropriate for my tactical guess of £9,900 which covers £9,000-£11,000.
PLAYER'S PREDICTION
£9,900
BANKER'S OFFER
£10,500
Yes!
But it is indeed a NO DEAL
Round 2:
Box 1 - £75,000 First big hit...
Box 16 - £5
Box 15 - 1p Still a very strong board
Banker time...
BANKER'S OFFER
£12,000
Not bad at all, but still early days, so NO DEAL
Round 3:
Box 20 - £10
Going very well...
Box 10 - £100,000
Have I cursed it now...
Box 3 - £1 Maybe not
Banker time...
BANKER'S OFFER
£12,000
A stick, very good!
Quite a bit of money still there though, so NO DEAL
Round 3:
Box 14 - £100
Great stuff!
Box 19 - £750
Just 3 blues left...
Box 11 - £50,000
Think those 2 blues beforehand have helped this round
Banker time...
BANKER'S OFFER
£16,000
Very good offer. If that £250,000 goes, I've got a lot to catch up on. But I think that button could hopefully get some good usage out of this. Therefore, I am going to
NO DEAL
Brave decision, will it pay off...
Round 5:
Box 18 - £35,000
The gap opens up but there's still so much to play for...
Box 12 - £500
Very good. Tempted to hit that button now, but just one more to open. Hoping I'm not going to regret pushing it on to 5 box...
Box 13 - £250,000
Wrong decision, a modest money game for the time being...
Banker time...
BANKER'S OFFER
£2,100
Such a big crash, but we can recover in the last round, therefore it's a NO DEAL
Round 6:
Hopefully this works out as much as it possibly can...
Box 2 - £20,000
Oh dear, now damage limitation...
Box 22 - £5,000
If only the £250,000 stayed to 5 box now... Don't think it's worth pressing the button. Hopefully not an all blue finish now...
Box 21 - 50p
A slight relief.
Banker time with 10p and £1,000 remaining on the board...
BANKER'S OFFER
£395
Still quite decent, a lot better than 10p, but I might as well play to the end now, one last NO DEAL
The Banker phones back...
BANKER'S OFFER
SWAP
9 has no significance so might as well go with what I came with - NO SWAP.
A very cruel end to the game, but let's hope there's a good £1,000 to take towards Box 23.
Box 5...
10p
Only one option now on Box 23 that could be of any help...
Box 9 - £1,000
Box 23:
20p £10,000.10 10p 5p NOTHING
No question about it, it's a DEAL
And hopefully, the game will have the good ending I want...
Back in the Dream Factory once again this evening for another game of Deal. In our last game we saw a very inconvenient time to lose the £250k lead on to an awful crash, but can I do the small amount worse, or a huge amount better?
I have BOX 17 on the table in front of me.
Off we go, Round 1 begins...
Box 21 - £50
An excellent start, hopefully more of that.
Box 7 - £15,000
Not great, but could have been a whole lot worse.
Box 8 - £100
Box 5 - £5
Box 9 - £50,000
Not the end we were hoping for there unfortunately...
BUTTON TIME
It is now time for me to predict the Banker's Offer.
If I am within 10% of either side of the offer, I have a Button game.
Mean - £29,441.86
FD - £10,555.06
Unlikely that it would be around the FD due to the highness of the reds taken out, and can't see it being any less than around £8,750. I'm going to go for something that covers both of them, and that is:
PLAYER'S PREDICTION
£9,600
Have I got a button game....?
BANKER'S OFFER
£7,900
(Range of £7,110 - £8,690)
A fair bit out unfortunately. Not even £8,750 would have got it.
Still very early days though, so a NO DEAL
And on we go to Round 2...
Box 15 - £3,000
Box 11 - £20,000
Hopefully not an All Red Round...
Box 18 - £1,000
Yep, although very little damage done.
Banker time...
Mean - £34,036.54
FD - £11,768.01
Very good increase there given it was an ARR, and the offer is very close to the FD at 98%, and just over 1/3 of the mean at 34%. Still appears to be loads left in this, so NO DEAL
Round 3...
Box 4 - 1p Just what we needed...
Box 14 - £10
Box 20 - £75,000 Could have done without that one, let's see what the change in the offer is...
Banker time...
Mean - £36,500.15
FD - £12,740.31
Very good offer at 110% of the FD, and an increase from 34% of the mean at the last offer to now 38% of the mean. It's very tempting, however there's only 1 in 165 chance of wiping out the top 3 in the next round. Despite it being early on, this may be a bit of a risk, but NO DEAL...
Let's hope we can keep the offers going up.
Round 4...
Box 10 - £10,000
Time will tell as to whether that was a big hit or not...
Box 16 - £35,000
Looking VERY frightening now, the top 2 looking very exposed now, let's leave them and preferably £5,000 as well...
Box 12 - £250,000
1 in 16.5 (6%) chance of an All Red Round hit, and contrast to the previous one, VERY damaging leaving, in terms of big money, a one box game at 8 box
Banker time...
Mean - £13,312.70
FD - £3,227.94
Not so far off the FD but a drop of 20% of it from the previous offer, and a drop of 16% of the mean to now 22%. Only a 41% chance now that the £100,000 will be there at 5 box, however if not, Box 23 could work out, so NO DEAL
Fingers crossed that we can recover the situation.
Round 5...
Box 1 - £750
A blue, however a component of the 1 in 56 nightmare round...
Box 19 - £100,000
Absolutely shocking. However we have to remember £5,000+£10,000=£15,000 which would be the top of the game, so hope is not all lost. However, damage limitation territory for the time being...
Box 3 - £500
Just about avoided the nightmare round...
Banker time...
Mean - £1,050.32
FD - £313.61
A mere 2% increase in percentage of the FD to 92% and 6% in the percentage of the mean to 28%. Only a 40% chance of getting anything above £290 let alone an offer worth considering. But given the stakes, it's worth going for, so NO DEAL
Round 6...
40% chance of an ABR as well, wouldn't be the most convenient time, but would certainly be beneficial, so here's hoping...
Box 22 - 50p
There's one...
Box 13 - £1
There's two...
Box 2 - £5,000
There isn't the third...
Banker time....
Mean - £125.05
FD - £65.03
The Banker has met the halfway point of the percentage of the FD offered at 8 and 5 box, and the mean has gone up 19% at a very inconvenient time to 47%. Currently looking like the 2nd disaster in a row, however there's still a 20% chance of recovery at Box 23. £250 is still a reasonable result given the misfortune unlike 10p, so we're opening the box - NO DEAL
The swap has been offered, however Box 6 has no significance to me, so NO SWAP
A very unfortunate result, but have I at least got £250 to take with me to Box 23, or will it be 10p for the 2nd game in a row...
Box 17 - 10p
Unfortunately so
Box 6 - £250
Now, what will Box 23 have to offer?
No doubt it's a DEAL, let's hope it's a better result than last time...
Sadly not!
A pretty unfortunate result, and looks like the best approach was to take above the FD at 11 box, as the game began to fall apart after that sadly.
See you next time, will it be 3rd time lucky? I certainly hope so.
After two very disappointing results previously, I'm back in the studio once again today. It can't get any worse now, surely...?
I have BOX 4 on the table, so off we go...
Round 1:
Box 3 - £250
Box 1 - £750
Box 6 - £10,000
Box 5 - £5,000
Box 16 - £50
Fairly good start.
BUTTON TIME:
It is time for me to predict the Banker's opening offer. If I am within 10%, I have the Button which I can press at any time and receive an offer.
Mean - £32,330.39
FD - £12,372.66
With a maximum of £10,000 taken out, an offer around about the FD wouldn't surprise me, but I think it's too early on for the Banker to make an offer so high. The minimum I'd expect is about £10,000, so I'm going to go for:
PLAYER'S PREDICTION
£11,000
And do I have a Button game?
BANKER'S OFFER
£9,700
Sadly not yet again, a bit closer this time though with a range of £8,730-£10,670.
Very good board and so much to play for, so it is indeed a NO DEAL
And on we go to Round 2:
Box 7 - £500 Great start!
Box 8 - £75,000 First big hit
Box 10 - 10p That makes up for it
Banker time...
Mean - £33,865.47
FD - £12,970.18
Very good offer given the loss of the £75,000, and 96% of the FD. Only a 33% chance now of avoiding the 4 of the Power 5 on the board.
Still early days though, so another NO DEAL
Round 3:
Box 22 - £100 Great stuff!!
Box 12 - £5
Box 19 - £1
5.5% of an ABR hit!
Banker time...
Mean - £43,091.86
FD - £20,662.17
Absolutely incredible offer at 126% (Over 1/4 more) of the FD and also 60% of the Mean.
It went wrong when dealing over the FD at 11 box last time, but hopefully this time it will be different, as it's a NO DEAL
Fingers crossed that was the right decision as we go into Round 4:
Box 13 - £100,000 Not a great start, but providing we avoid the top 4 in the next 2 (1 in 12 chance), we'll still be doing alright!
Box 20 - £10 Just what we needed, could it be just 1 blue at 8 box...?
Box 17 -
£3,000
Maybe not, but still looking very good
Banker time...
Mean - £46,375.06
FD - £22,763.85
An increase is very generous there given how big of a hit the £100,000 was. Chances of avoiding the £250,000 in the following round are 62.5%, however if it goes, £27,000 would be hard to get back to. Without a button in play, an offer at 119% of the FD and 58% of the Mean, I think the best choice here is to DEAL the £27,000.
So £27,000 is now mine. But could it have been a little bit more, a fair bit more, a whole lot more, or was it exactly the right choice to stop, we're about to find out...
Round 5 (Proveout):
Box 2 - £15,000 We wouldn't have been too disappointed with that...
Box 11 - £1,000
£250,000 going now is the only thing that's going to make this quite a damaging round...
Box 14 - £20,000 Not good enough sadly
Banker Time...
Mean - £67,000.10
FD - £33,233.05
69% of the Mean and 138% of the FD would have been an excellent offer and a deal there from me also! No OPW unfortunately, however a TPW is still possible providing we have another, much better ARR!
Round 6 (Proveout):
Box 21 - £250,000
Box 18 - 1p Hopefully not the 50p now as well?
Box 9 - 50p
Banker time with £35,000 and £50,000 remaining...
Mean - £42,500
FD - £42,166.50
Well at 108% of the mean and 109% of the FD, I think speaking on behalf of everybody on the planet other than Mark it would have been a Deal there!
And all along in Box 4, I had...
£35,000
The smaller of the 2, not a huge underselling!
Box 15 - £50,000
Now, time for Box 23...
Definitely don't want to risk going away with NOTHING, given what a strong game it's been, so it is indeed a NO DEAL
So £27,000 is still mine, but what would it have been had I removed "NO" from my answer?
https://i.ibb.co/GVD6NC6/image.png
An absolute heartbreaker! What a game, a shame I could have had much more (even via such an unrealistic offer), but a much better result than last time. See you again soon, what will happen then? You'll have to find out!
Pretty good round there. 3 blues and 2 low-ish reds will do me.
Banker time
BANKER'S OFFER
£12,500
FD - £12,208.39 (102.4%) Mean - £31,797.98 (39.3%)
Very good opening offer, but needless to say there's more in this game - NO DEAL
Time to open 3 more boxes...
Box 3 - £75,000
Not ideal, but we can make up for it...
Box 18 - £35,000
Starting to become a bit uncomfortable now, but a blue would make things feel better!
Box 17 - £5,000
At least it was one of the lower ones, but admittedly I did cause a bit of damage there
10p 50p
£5 £10 £50
£250 £500 £750
£1,000 £3,000
£20,000
£50,000
£100,000 £250,000
Banker time
BANKER'S OFFER
£12,500
Now there's a surprise
FD - £9,253.09 (129.7%) Mean - £30,397.54 (39.5%)
Don't think he wants me staying around long. Actually quite tempting to deal now, but I'd like to see whether or not he maintains this level of generosity. I've had more comfortable ones at 14 box, but NO DEAL
Round 3...
Box 22 - £50,000
Another one. But let's try and get a decent 11 box split with the top 2 in play!
Box 4 - £5
That's a start. One more?
Box 5 - £750
There we go!
10p 50p
£10 £50
£250 £500
£1,000 £3,000
£20,000
£100,000 £250,000
Banker time
BANKER'S OFFER
£15,000
FD - (151.8%) Mean - (44.02%)
Once again a very good offer, especially for an early stage of the game. Looks like going on I'd need to hit the 51% chance of avoiding the top 2, although keeping £20,000 too would be ideal. I reckon that even if I took out the £100,000 and 2 blues, it's going to go down a bit. 11 box deals aren't easy although I think I'd have more regrets going on and crashing.
Hope I'm not going to regret this, but DEAL - £15,000
Hopefully I hit at least one of the top 2 in the next round, as the fear of that influenced my decision.
Round 4 (Proveout):
Box 21 - 10p
Would've been the perfect start, but doesn't stop the top 2 from being able to come out now...
Box 6 - £250
Oh dear, looks like I'd have been fine hitting £20,000 after that. Has to be one of the top 2 now if I'm wanting an OPW, preferably the £250k.
Box 2 - £250,000
Big relief!
50p
£10 £50
£500
£1,000 £3,000
£20,000
£100,000
BANKER'S OFFER WOULD'VE BEEN
£7,600
FD - £5,208.24 (145.9%) Mean - £15,570.06 (48.8%)
Would have felt like a bravery reward that offer. A potential OPL would've been the only thing stopping me from taking that I think.
Round 5 (Proveout)...
Box 19 - £50
Not the start we wanted. But at leadt hitting £20,000 I'd say is enough damage to prevent much of an uplift.
Box 15 - £20,000
And that would've been goodbye to any proper backup!
Can we get the OPW right now pre 5 box...?
Box 14 - £10
Not quite, but looks like we're still doing well.
50p
£500
£1,000 £3,000 £100,000
BANKER'S OFFER WOULD'VE BEEN
£11,500
FD - £7,248.50 (158.7%) Mean - £20,900.10 (55.02%)
Would've been an instant deal for me there in live play!
Round 6 (Proveout)...
Box 7 - £3,000
Nearly there...
Box 11 - £100,000
OPW confirmed
Box 12 - £500
Banker time with 50p and £1,000 remaining
BANKER'S OFFER WOULD'VE BEEN
£400
FD - (153.1%) Mean - (80%)
Even that would have been alright. Although I'd love to have known what the Banker would've offered at the £100k stayed to 2 box!
My Box 20 contained... 50p
Box 1 - £1,000
Really pleased with that result. Could've gone either way after the 11 box deal and I'm pleased to have gotten away with it in the end and achieve an OPW from a deal there!

My name is daniel123, and I can't remember how to post images any more, so you'll have to imagine the board as you read. I'm playing the new format of the game, which I've replicated in KP's 22-box DoND simulation (he created three, with 22, 24 and 26 boxes respectively, and every statistical element of gameplay variable in each game - I'm sure he'd be happy to share them if anybody is interested in playing! I'd forgotten I even had them, to be fair...).
I have manipulated the offers so that each will be within 5%, either way, of the averages for the Mulhern era so far, as StatsMan detailed in his thread in the Statistics section of the forum. As I'm old-school, I've requested that offers be multiples of 100 only, although in my experience testing this format out, KP's 'Banker' can be a rebel in that department! For the offer method, we have the option of root square mean or percentages, the latter of which is my choice this time. The currency is pounds sterling of course, we have seven rounds, and with the housekeeping out of the way, let's get this show on the road! _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
My box, and my system, are courtesy of random.org; mine is number 7.
Round 1 16 - 50p 2 - £1,000 Not bad at all! 8 - £5 20 - £75,000 Ah, that's not nice 14 - £750 but that is!
BANKER'S OFFER
£1,200
It's pretty abysmal, really, as all the first offers have been so far in real life - then again, that is how it was in the early days of the original show! NO DEAL this time.
Round 2 6 - £50 22 - £4,000 You know, that feels worse than it is, I'm not sure why... 11 - £100 A blue will do. Not optimistic about this second offer though
BANKER'S OFFER
£2,500
Nah, don't think so, mate. NO DEAL.
Round 3 10 - £3,000 18 - £50,000 13 - £5,000 Hmm, an all-redder but not an awful one, and on the basis that you might have one at some point, I'll settle for that. Remember when we used to have to type the formatting if we wanted text to be red or blue or any other colour? We were artists in our day, I'm telling you, now you just click 'boldblue' or 'boldred' and hey presto! Kids these days don't know how easy they've got it...
BANKER'S OFFER
£3,600
It's not bad in the circumstances, and certainly more appealing than any of the blues I've got left...but I reckon there's life in this one yet. NO DEAL!
Round 4 1 - £25,000 Yowch! 19 - £500 Phew 21 - £10 Oh thank god for that, I was getting concerned there
BANKER'S OFFER
£6,300
Ah, now then, here's a thing. I have the £7,500 and £10,000 there as back-up, that's true, but with the board the way it is now, I'd have to do a lot of donkey work to get back up near this offer, unless I'm lucky enough to keep both until 2-box; if I keep the big one, all the better for it, but if not, the situation may be irretrievable. I'm genuinely deliberating here over £6,300 of money that doesn't actually exist...that's how tricky a call this is for me right now. Alright Stevie, I'm ready. I say NO DEAL!
Round 5 5 - £7,500 Eeeeeekkkk, no more of those please! 12 - £1 Thanks 4 - £250 YES!
BANKER'S OFFER
£14,600
After about three milliseconds' thought -
DEAL
Proveout - round 6 3 - £2,000 17 - 1p Oh dear
BANKER'S OFFER WOULD'VE BEEN
£29,900
That's right, 2023 Glenn, you rub it in...nah, who am I kidding, there's nothing thirty grand could do for me that fourteen and a half couldn't, realistically speaking. I'm alright!
Now that is an awful lot of money, but would I have turned down £29,900? Nope. Would I have turned down £14,600? Nope. So it never would've been mine anyway
I would not have swapped my box. My box 7 contains £100,000 but I don't particularly care; box 3 over there had the 10p.
Should've been a LOT more brave? Maybe in some people's eyes, but I'm a pragmatist nowadays, not a Wakeyist - I deal in certainties and security, and base my money management on those granite foundations, so I'd never have been tempted to go past round 4 anyway! Crikey, 2006 daniel123 would've thought I was a heretic!

Like Tom Hanks and his football on that island in 'Cast Away', it looks like it's just me and the bots here now. But that's alright, we're having a grand old time. Aren't we, Wilson? WILSOOOON?!
A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.
