This forum has been put together so fans of the gameshow Deal or No Deal can discuss the show and various other topics. There is no charge for joining or viewing the site, and we encourage your active participation in discussions on our forum. We do ask that you abide by the rules and policies detailed below.

By participating in this forum you agree to follow this code of conduct:

    1. Respect. Treat others how you would like to be treated. Do not allow disagreements to degenerate into personal attacks or judgments towards another individual. Remember that posts can be easily misunderstood and be careful about the words you choose. Any posts which are determined by Admins to be posted for the sole purpose of starting an argument or flamefest will be removed. Being a nuisance. Pestering or targeting other users for no reason other than personal satisfaction is not necessary, nor is it allowed. It is harassment and will get you warnings.

    2. Offensive language and name-calling of any sort will not be tolerated. Word filters are in place to help avoid this, but if any user is caught trying to get around the filters, they will be warned at the discretion of the admin team. Please don't post in anger, as a torrent of bad language (filtered or not) will result in a warning.

    3. Do not Spam the forum with inaccurate, repetitive or offensive posts. Humour must be in good taste.

    4. Stay on topic. Short, off-topic remarks are fine but do not hijack a discussion.

    5. Signatures and avatars should be fun and non-offensive. Any Images should be no larger than the example image below.

    6. Text speak. Please do not use 'text speak' in your posts, this helps to avoid any misunderstandings and makes the forum easier to read.

    7. Spoilers. Please respect that not all members wish to know any details of the shows in advance of them being aired. If you feel you need to post a spoiler please use the spoiler section of the site located by CLICKING HERE

    8. Bumping posts/topic replies Bumping posts to return them to the top of the forum is not welcome, if a topic is popular it will remain near the top due to it's popularity. Any posts used to 'bump' a thread will be removed when found.

    9. Banning. The Admin reserves the right to ban any user at any time for any reason. This is a private forum and the owners will do whatever is necessary to preserve the quality of the site and forum. Users who continually disrupt the community with allegations, accusations, or activity that is not in the spirit of the purpose of this forum will be removed without explanation.

    10. Copyright. Do not post any copyrighted material unless you own the copyright or you have written consent from the owner of the copyrighted material. This includes audio and images extracted from your own recordings of the the show or video games.

    11. Personal Information. Do not post personal info, such as your address, phone number, or email address on the main forums.

    12. PM system. The private messaging system is provided as a way for members to communicate privately on the site. This system is not to be abused and used to harass, spam or solicit members. Any infringements will be investigated by the site owner and appropriate action taken.

Violation of these guideline may result in warnings, suspension, and even the possibility of the deletion of your account and messages. If a member violates these guidelines, please kindly refer them back to the rules listed above. Thanks for your cooperation with the following guidelines. As you abide by them, you will ensure that DOND is a positive and beneficial place for everyone.

RESPECT:
Respect differences of opinion. It's fine to disagree, just remember that the other person has a right to their opinions and experiences too. Respect diversity. Don't attack someone else because of their beliefs or way of life. All ages from the young to the old are active in our forum. Please phrase your language and comments accordingly. Respect others. If you don't like a person's viewpoints say why without attacking the individual. Don't treat them in a way that you wouldn't like to be treated yourself. Do not post in CAPITALS where it's unnecessary, as it can be deemed as shouting and therefore taken the wrong way, and it is also hard to read when typed in CAPITALS.

We are very grateful for the opportunity to interact with many contestants here on the forum. When posting about an individual, please keep in mind the person and/or their family may be reading your message. While it's fine and appropriate to comment on a contestant on the show please be respectful, put yourself in their shoes when you make a comment about them or another member, would you be happy if a similar comment was directed at you?

DISAGREEMENTS:
Conflicts will arise from time to time. There is nothing wrong with disagreements. The key is to not make personal remarks about any individual, directly or indirectly. Remember: two wrongs don't make a right. Sometimes the responsible thing to do is walk away. If you are having trouble and cannot sort it out yourself, notify site admin. If a member continually gets on your nerves, it is best to avoid them.

User Disputes:
You alone are responsible for your interactions with other users of the Service. http://www.dond.co.uk reserves the right but is not obligated to mediate or solve disputes between you and other users of the Service. Any personal conflicts will be removed from threads at the forum's discretion, if you want to continue your dispute please do so off-site. Warnings or suspension from the site will come into effect should you continue to pursue your disagreements in this forum.

LANGUAGE:
Our forum has members of all ages and a wide variety of beliefs. We strive to make all members feel welcome and comfortable. Offensive language and name-calling of any sort will not be tolerated. The forum uses a word filter to automatically remove a large number of swear words, please do not try and use symbols or misspellings to avoid the filter as this will result in warnings being issued and posts being removed. All posts must be respectful of different races, sex, religions, sexual orientation, and mental and physical abilities. Chose your words carefully. Inflammatory language of any sort is unacceptable. Do not post just to anger someone, or post when angry, as a torrent of bad language (filtered or not) will result in a warning.

SPAM:
Please do not use the forum to post irrelevant, repetitive or offensive information. Debates are encouraged but there is no need to filibuster to get your point across. The excessive use of blank space in posts is disrespectful to other forum members and should be avoided. It may lead to the editing of posts and/or a warning from the moderators. Before posting a new thread, please make sure a similar thread is not already active. Multiple threads on the same topic can be confusing. Please do not post the same message in multiple parts of our forum. Duplicate posts will often be deleted.

Don't attempt to dominate a board with your opinion. Posting multiple messages within a short time period that results in pushing most of the other posts off a board will not be allowed and is considered a form of spamming. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and multiple posts that prevent others from expressing theirs are not allowed.

Repetitive posting of external websites links will also be deemed to be spamming the forum and result in the offending posts being removed, also the member will either receive a warning or possible ban from the site.

HUMOR:
We encourage humor, within reasonable limits. Some pranks may be seen as spam so please be thoughtful of others. Consider how your words might be misinterpreted before you post. Don't post false information.

SIGNATURES:
Signatures (the customized greeting that closes your posts) should not exceed five lines in total (text&images). If using an image only this should not be over 150pixels in height or wider than 470pixels.

The image below is an example of the maximum size an image should be

Signatures may contain your name, or your favorite quote. They may not contain links to offensive or "adult" sites. Signatures are a great form of expression, but they must be respectful of fellow forum members. You can tell us more about yourself on your profile page. Remember, "Brevity is the soul of wit." Admin reserve the right to delete any signatures that exceed these limits without warning.

Links to external websites are generally allowed in signatures, but admin reserve the right to remove any links at any time without warning.

AVATARS:
Your avatar (a little picture that appears next to your posts) should be friendly and fun. If an avatar is deemed offensive to forum members, a moderator will ask you to change it. Please do not use an avatar already in use by another member. Avatars that are stored on this site have a size limit of 80x80, we do allow larger avatars of up to 130wide x 150 high although you must use the feature of storing these off-site at somewhere like Imageshack and link to these remotely in your profile page.

STAY ON TOPIC:
Short off-topic remarks are fine. We realize that we all get a little off topic sometimes but do think before you post and think whether or not there is a better a place your post. If a topic does get off topic please do your best to bring it back to the topic or please create a new thread for the new subject. Off-topic posts may be moved or deleted without warning at the Admins discretion.

WARNINGS:
Any behavior that is not in the spirit of our guidelines may result in a warning. Subsequent behavior, depending on the nature, may result in suspension or ejection from the forum. Overly aggressive behavior and/or complete disregard for the spirit of these guidelines may result in immediate banishment. Action will be taken with the discretion of the staff. Please help keep DOND a fun place for everyone.

Text Speak
To avoid misunderstandings in any posts, we would greatly appreciate if everyone could not use 'text speak' when posting in the forums.

SPOILERS
Please respect that not all members wish to know any details of the shows in advance of them being aired. If you feel you need to post a spoiler please make your post in the spoiler section of the site located by CLICKING HERE

Bumping threads
Please do not 'bump' threads just to get them back to the top of a forum, if a thread is popular it will maintain a high presence on the forum naturally. Any posts found that are being used to bump a thread will be removed.

Proxy IP addresses

If you are found to be using a proxy IP address, the IP address will be banned and your account could be disabled and / or removed. Proxy IP addresses are normally used to get around bans or hide someones identity to cause trouble, hence why users using them cannot be allowed.

Banning.

The Admin reserves the right to ban any user at any time for any reason. This is a private forum and the owners will do whatever is necessary to preserve the quality of the site and forum. Users who continually disrupt the community with allegations, accusations, or activity that is not in the spirit of the purpose of this forum could find themselves removed without warning.

Copyright.

Do not post any copyrighted material unless you own the copyright or you have written consent from the owner of the copyrighted material. This includes audio and images extracted from your own recordings of the the show or video games.

You alone are responsible for the material you post. You will not knowingly post content or links to content that violates the copyright, trademark, patent or other intellectual property right of any third party and that you will remove the same should you discover that you have violated this provision.

Private Member Information.

Please do not post your personal information on the public forums, this includes addresses, telephone numbers, and email addresses. If you wish to share your information with another member, please use the PM system. If you are interested in getting any personal information from a member on this forum, you must ask them yourself via the PM system. The Site Admins will not disclose any personal private information of a member to anyone!

PM system.

At dond.co.uk we respect your privacy as members of the site, as such we provide a private messaging system (PMs) for communicating privately with other members. The purpose of personal messaging is to allow for discreet conversations to take place between members. This system is not to be abused! Solicitation, spamming, or harassment of any kind is strictly forbidden. Any member receiving an inappropriate personal message (PM) should forward that message to an Administrator or Moderator right away. Although PM's are normally only accessible by those who send and receive them, they are part of the database and as such, property of dond.co.uk. The site owner (kestral) is the only person who has access to this database, and if a reason warrants it, reserves the right to view the offending PMs in the database and take appropriate action as necessary. Please be assured that PMs are private and not accessed unless sufficient circumstances warrant it. Anyone found violating the use of the PM system faces warnings and also the loss of use of the facility.
