when i click chat room it says [a]lex - logging in....... successful......then invalid username or password?

I think the problem could be your username

As you have special characters in your username - the brackets around the A, it looks as though these are not passing through to the chatroom correctly and allowing you to log-in.....

I will check to see if there is a fix for this, otherwise it may mean a change of your username in order for you to have access to the chatroom

How about... (A)lex or .A.lex

well if you can change the name on this account that would be fine cos i dont wanna re-register, i guess like Alex. would be ok or -Alex- cos some ****** already took Alex lol and he aint even made any posts
