We have so much in common. :-D

Yep I agree that it will be possibly the greatest.

Playstation on the other hand has gone and committed suicide whilst Xbox is meh.

Although this is Wii talk only, I just have to say something else which Sony have mucked up.

200 odd PS1 and PS2 games aren't working on the PS3

Another reason to buy a Wii.

Noooooo! I will never buy a Wii - the name ought to be enough to put everyone off.

I will be getting a PS3 no matter how much "suicide" it's said to have committed. It will prevail, I'm sure...

It's silly that people are put off just because of the name. It's the actual gameplay and entertainment of a console which should put people off or not.

And the above doesn't mean specs either. High specs should be left to PC's in my honest opinion. Game consoles should be there for fun and Mac and Windows face off in specs.

But I do know people who took the *beep* out of the gamecube and were playstation now turned to the nintendo clan. And whilst PS3 is out next March now which is a stupid thing to do, I can't see as many parents getting the console for their kids. If they do I would suggest the men in white coats.

The price is what turned me off and besides I have to upgrade lots for Vista when it comes out too although I really don't need to.

Wii > Life

Or at least it will do when it's released. I've got the release date (or Wii day) off of work, so that when it pops through the door I can play it all day long :-D

THANKYOU!!SOMEONE WITH SENSE! Buy ps3, not that nintendo crap.Nintendo started off making small machines that crashed. And they've kept that tradition.Sony on the other hand made small high-tech[and expensive yes] machines that crashed only when you hit them with a hammer. And they've kept that tradition. Therefore i will buy a PS3.Because i have common sense. :-D

Looks like you haven't never used to sony ps2.

Ok I had one playstation bought for Christmas, broke down on Christmas day  and that was the PS1

PS2: Chunky piece of *beep*. I had two. First one broke within a year. The same went with the second. I had to buy a slim which thankfully hasn't broke. But it looks like they had to get a new style of PS2 just to sort out the problems thousands had with their chunky PS2.

And before you ask, no I wasn't hitting them with any type of weapon/item/fists etc

As for the Ninty, I had a NES, was reliable for a second hand console. Still played the games.

The gamecube on the other hand was well brill. Never ever has crashed on me NOR frozen in game, unlike the playstations I had.

So from looking at the reliability record, Nintendo has been much reliable. the only problem I heard of from my mates is that one blew up because he put some third party and unknown equipment on it but EVERY other ninty my mates have has never crashed.

Pity I can't say the same for my mates and their playstations though

And to those who do buy a 'PS3' *laughs*, don't start crying if £425 goes down he drain to unreliablity.

I forgot to mention one thing: DON'T TRUST GAMESPOT!!!!

Their reason why they made a low score for Legend of Zelda is because of it being the same.

They don't say the same thing however for Xbox and PS's Grand Theft Semi Auto series and rate that high. IT'S EXACTLY THE SAME THING AS LONG AGO. I sniff Biased with a capital B

Rant over. (that's my longest post ever, time to retire?)

To Tom:
I admit I was going to get a second hand Xbox once, but it's just the controller which doesn't take my fancy. It's too chunky.

To Wakey:
I played the 360 and I admit the controller is can be handled great. I was going to get one but with the shortages, I upgraded my PC but then heard of the Wii.

To Daniel: Looks like I'm not the only one with problems with their Chunky PS2. Also speaking of PC's and their area, it is my second in line,

;)

Personally, I think anyone who spends £425 on a console like a PS3 is bit of a douche. If you have to go buy something like that just get a 360.

The Wii is AMAZING value for money. I mean, £180 gets you the console, all of the remotes you need and a small game to start you up. It's a completely innovative way to video gaming, which has always been Nintendo's perogative. I like the idea of being able to link it up with my DS as well, which sounds sweet.

However, due to not having much money right now I'll be getting mine after New Year, when I have a TV in my uni halls as well. Hopefully after that the time the price might have even dropped or a bundle deal with a game or two might be thrown in.

WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii - are you zooming by on roller skates? ;) Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee....

Anyway, why are console games more expensive than PC games? I don't understand!
