Yes, I know I'm saying this in a place where 95% of the population lives in a country where this is not a holiday, but I don't care!

Happy Thanksgiving to all the Americans and Canadians on this forum! (Yes, I know the Canadian Thanksgiving is on a different day, but it's the same thing!)

My wife Sasha is Californian JR but we live in the UK, that doesn't stop her making sure we celebrate! But it is strange that for everyone else here it's just another Thursday. And to think that The Mayflower was built here in England! :D

I have my american cousins down[and my aunt and uncle] since last friday, and we were having dinner when someone[im not naming names]mentioned it was thanksgiving today.So we all sat down and announced what we were thankful for[i dont know if this is the traditional way but thats how we did it].But it was another member of my family[who im not gonna name] summed it all up completely.I quote, "And i'm thankful for everything.Everything in the world.because if nothing had happened, we'd never be here".He was in the navy till 1998, and a second later, when someone asked, "are you really even thankful for all those ships that were blown up?" his reply was, i quote again"yes, i'm even thankful for that.And for everything else in the world".

Sorry if you find that story boring, but i thought i just had to share it with you all, since this thread is about thanksgiving afterall :-D .Anyways happy thanksgiving everyone! :-D :-D
