A boy took a gun into my sons school today, I was well shocked. im guessing it was an air gun or similar but the teachers were holding it like it was a real one. the kid is only 9 or 10

We never have any problems like that at my school. I had two choices of secondry school, and thankfully I got into the catholic one. The other school that all my old friends went to often have guns/knives there. The police get called almost everyday, and one boy who was in my class at primary school got suspended because he was caught taking drugs in the playground.

Occasionly people about 10 used to bring in lighters and set toilet rolls on fire in the toilets at my old school. I think it's just people getting in with the wrong crowds and trying to look cool. I'm sure your sons school will take care of it though Maud :-)

We dont get anything like that round here, the worst we get is the year 10's smoking in the tennis courts :P

I may seem a bit harsh but I do think that if it is an air gun, and he had bad intentions, that they should shoot his foot with it too show him how much damage those things do.

If it's a real gun they should lock him up!

Rant over!!!!

At my old school, knives were everywhere. A big network of people sold this stuff. But never guns.

It's tragic that today's society we have kids running around with guns and knifes.
