Urgh, I HATE letters. Email rules over letters, I don't like it that a letter HAS to be set out properly (a la making the first address slant to a diagonal right).

Email rules, because there isn't as much of a chance of your email getting lost, stolen, destroyed etc etc.

I would bet by 2007 no one writes letters anymore.

Noooooo, I love letters! As long as they're special letters...if it's stuff from banks or whatever then I'm not bothered, but letters from real people are so nice and exciting...I have a whole drawer in my room full of letters. I'm so soft. But letters rock...they're so cool and personal. Emails are fine, but not as exciting.

yeah, i agree - my girlfriend doesnt know my email, so we have to rely on lettrs.Plus i know how to write one and of course, at 12, that really is an achievement.

Letters definitely. They are so much more personal and special, more thought goes into them (e.g. buying the stamp) and you can keep them forever and look back on them in years to come. Whereas Emails have more chance of getting lost or not even being sent properly in the first place.

And anyway I like to study peoples handwriting, it tells you alot about the person. I'm a freak...

I agree with The Banker, I prefer letters. It's quite exciting to get a letter, except when it's a bill or something like that.

I like letters as well. I just prefer writing in formal English (i.e. acting like a stuck-up *beep*) than feeling sort of pressurised to use stupid 'TXT SPK' in e-mails.

I know, I am very weird!

I never use "TXT SPK" in letters/e-mails! I think using it in texts is slightly different because you only get a certain amount of words, but there's no excuses in e-mails!

I don't even do it in texts. :? I'm so pedantic that I'm quite prepared to pay the extra 12p for a second text just so I can spell every word correctly...

Fair play! But I'm a poor student and tingz r difrent!

No way, I'd never really speak like that. But I am guilty of the odd "u" instead of "You" and "2" instead of "to". Is that such a crime? It was good enough for Bono!

I-spell everything normally but try to condense it to one message. The odd 'u' and '2' may pop up occasionally.

As for e-mails or letters, I think there's something more speical about a letter, however, e-mails are more convenient, and should be faster... but they're only as fast as the person replying to them...I'm still waiting for a reply to an e-mail I sent to someone 5 days ago...
