Who was your favorite Radio 1 DJ from the 1970s/1980s? All these presented Top of the Pops at one time in their careers too. This one might show up your age but you will be interested in one of the options if you are a DOND fan!

Shame cos Noel Edmonds was a much better Radio 1 breakfast show host than Chris Moyles by a country mile!

Simon Mayo for me....

I loved his Confessions (I think it was called that  ) and I used to really enjoy listening to his breakfast show every morning on Radio 1

:-D

Very good choice Cazzie, I nearly voted for him myself, and he does a great job on Radio FiveLive now.

He was on Radio Scotland, Luxembourg and Radio One.

And it's STUART Henry, I spelt it wrong.

He was accused of being drunk on air, and always denied it, but got sacked, and afterwards he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, and he died at a very early age, not sure what year he died.

He had a lovely lilting Scottish voice, I fell asleep listening to him most nights, with the tranny under the bedclothes.

Unlike many here, I am just the wrong side of 30 and was around in the late 70s and early 80s, but was far too young to care. And even then, I've never really liked radio as a medium anyways apart from in the car, usually R2 and Terry Wogan. I have heard of most of these guys in the list though, but voting for one just seems wrong, even for Noel! :-)

I guess you're either into radio or you're not.
