I know I've not been around much, but I'll be around even less over the next week because I'm off for a well earned holiday!

Enjoy yourself. Mallorca (as it is correctly known, I gather - the inadvertent misprounciation 'Majorca' was invented by the British IIRC) is the only place outside the British Isles I've ever been! (Must admit it was too hot for me, but I'm not a hot-weather person anyway... even the British summers can be too hot for me at times!)

It's a lovely place, though. Could probably enjoy it a lot more in the winter

Thanks all for your well wishes (apart from Jeremy Kyle's Dad - I think I had a right to tell my fellow posters that I'd be away for a bit.)

I had a great time. First time I'd been abroad and first time I'd been on a plane and although I do agree with KP it was boiling hot too often it was awesome. I even caught a bit of Spanish Deal or No Deal (Vende or no Vende as they call it! Their banker is so much more generous than ours though. 12,000 euros or 120,000 euros. The offer is 68,000 euros!! :shock:

)

Anyway, I'm back now (sort of, still on cr***y dial-up til September

). Hope you didn't miss me too much!

welcome back will we missed ya.glad you enjoyed majorca.which part did you stay at?l've been going there since1979 would you believe .so l know it like back of my hand lol.mainly east coast,its alot quieter but 1st trip was to magaluf.

I was in Port d'Pollenca but we had day-trips to Valdermossa, Soller and Palma while I was there.

I thought they called their DoND 'Alla Tu'...

...AMO at the final two? They must have the Dutch Banker. Which is odd, as I thought their version was more along the lines of the Franco-Italian ones. Did the player have the €120,000 in their box? Given that I think the French, Italian and Spanish Bankers all know the box values, I'm presuming that yes, there was €120,000 in there... unless it was a bluff!!

Spooky that your first visit abroad was to the same place as mine btw! We stayed in the south-east, sharing a villa between Felanitx and Santanyi - I think our hire cars caused havoc in Felanitx!
