During the last two days weve had 5 inches of rain and 3 thunderstorms and the phone lines went down for a good 2 hours.

I used to tolerate thunderstorms. These days I hate them above almost everything else, because they are:

a) noisy
b) able to deactivate gadgets and shiny things :D

At least they clear the air after oppressive heat...

We had storms on Sunday,, started in the morning and went on for most of the day. Then about 2am Monday morning all hell broke loose, with the storm right over head about 4am finishing about 5am. Had a house close to me struck by lightning and set on fire. Then we had another big one on Wednesday night, but thankfully not much damage.

I love storms, but I prefer to be outdoors watching it than indoors. Think its a throw back to when we were kids. My Mum has always been terrified of storms, so my Dad used to make sure were never scared,, and would sit out in the garden with us watching them no matter what time of night they happened.

Had thunderstorms over here a few days back but it was in the night and I didn't hear it.

So much for trying to get lightning shots with my camera :(
