This is true! It really was a hive of activity here at that time. The show captured our imaginations, and, probably more importantly, Facebook wasn't so much of a thing then either. So the slightly older folks might have had AOL, my generation had MSN Messenger and MySpace and Bebo, and online forums were much more relevant because we only really had those options available to us - certainly as I say those in my age bracket, we had Messenger and some of us joined forums like this. I think the likes of Facebook and Twitter have been the downfall of the forum as a whole (the concept of the forum, not specifically this one) - in 2007 if we wanted to know how a game went, we either had to watch it on More4, record the original transmission, or come on here, to find out.
In 2016, of course, we could go on the show's Facebook page, we could check on Twitter, we could tell our TV sets to record the show if we wanted and
not even have to be there personally to turn the 'record' button off at the end and then rewind the VHS...so I think for a lot of people this place wouldn't even have crossed their mind by that point in time.
C'est vie.
