If you mean the new e-fit picture. Its only taken them 8 months to come up with it. If by some million to one chance it was the man who abducted her then: 1. He's long gone. 2. Probably changed his appearance. 3. They'll never be able to prove it.

And why haven't the McCann's been charged with neglect for leaving their kids unattended?

I have always found the whole McCann saga to be very weird. Why did no-one see the girl being taken away?! Anyway it also seems odd to me that they left her unattended in the first place. :?

I can understand with everyones thinking round this, may one ort to ask the investigators behind all this why it did take that long to release that information? my theary here would be to do with certain laws the portiguese have about keeping hold of private information? there is also that possiblity that the accused has done a runner since then ,but then the police there should one step ahead behind the mind of the accused ,if he is the accused? one other theary i would come up with also is ,the same theary of the swizz girl i think it was ,that was forced to live under the stars of a house for much of her child hood ,away from the public only amerging years later when she managed to escape. this could also be the same theary ,but then again not?
to anyone offended by my spelling & grammer last time i hope this is better spelt? ;)

As far as I can tell the Portugese police have little clue as to whether she was abducted or murdered at the scene. They apparently still believe she was murdered. However she might have been abducted. :? This in itself is problematical insomuch that it divides resources. ie instead of being able to concentrate wholly on either a murder investigation or a massive hunt for a kidnapper they are having to do both.

And neither very well.

I'm pretty sure that's what the British call them too.

In all fairness, those that do not have children should not judge how people bring up their kids.

I believe it's wrong to just leave kids alone, my evil step mother done it to a girl she adopted one night on holiday and the girl woke up, freaked out, smashed and window and climbed out naked, a girl of 8 running naked in the dark, she was lucky to be still with us.

If you read about those that leave their children alone while they dine it tends to be those with money, if it were the working class there would be a huuuuuge thing about it in the media.
