KP's Series 5 is based on Series 4, but expands the 4x4 Configurator draw before each game into a 5x5 matrix. As with Series 4, all games use the same 24-box board, using the UK amounts plus £25 and £150,000 (the same as the later "Purpliser" Series 2 games). As such, "Box 23" is "Box 25." However, the £250,000 will now be a rolling jackpot, increasing by £1,000 for every game in which it is not won. A pregame twist draw from The Configurator produces a choice of five options for each of five gameplay aspects: - Player powers:
- Booster Bids - the player receives two predictions and can use them at any time before 5-box. One increases all non-jackpot reds left on the board by 20% minus the error margin, the other increases the final winnings after Box 25 by 10% minus the error margin. These can be used in either order.
- Endgame Extraction - the player gains the option to buy Box 25 with 50% of their winnings if they do not accept a conditional offer that dictates how Box 25 is used.
- One-derland - all 0s on the starting board become 1s. For instance, £15,000 becomes £15,111, 50p becomes 51p, and £100,000 becomes £111,111.
- Spin the Wheel - the player spins a bonus wheel at the end of their game (after Box 25) to add to their winnings. There are 24 wedges on the wheel; 12 contain prizes ranging in value from a £6 bat soft toy to a £27,160 Honda e, while the other 12 contain percentage cash increases from 2.5% to 100%.
- Top Ten - the 1p and £1,000 boxes each become £10,000.
- Banker powers:
- Double 99 - two random non-jackpot reds (of which exactly one is £35,000 or higher) are reduced by 99%.
- I'll Finish This - the Banker, not the player, decides whether or not Box 25 is purchased.
- Orange Crush - the four lowest reds are reduced by 90%.
- Peekaboo - the Banker looks in two boxes on the wings (not the box on the table). The player is told one of the two boxes that have been peeked.
- Six Out - the sixth offer of the game is removed. If this is paired with the Extended UK or Triangle Mode offer pattern, the player is given an offer button, but it cannot be deployed at the point where the removed offer would have been made.
- Two-way powers:
- Drip Feed - a random red of £35,000 or higher is reduced by 75%, and half of the removed amount is split evenly between the top five blues. For instance, £100,000 would become £25,000 and £7,500 would be added to each of the top five blues (£75,000 removed, £37,500 replaced).
- Grand Redesigns - the thousands digit and larger of every non-jackpot red is removed, and the total removed amount is then redistributed by a quasi-random draw in £1,000 intervals to these same reds.
The exact process is as follows: eleven random numbers 0-1 are drawn by spreadsheet and then squared. That number as a fraction of the sum of all eleven random numbers is multiplied by the number of thousands removed, and then rounded down. Any rounded-down residuals are added to the largest amount, so there is always the same amount on the new board. - Penny Pincher - five random amounts under £10,000 become 1p, and the total removed amount is multiplied by 20 and added to the top non-jackpot red.
- Plug In Baby - the £10 and £20,000 are replaced by TOY and CAR, respectively corresponding to a £12 toy car and £27,160 Honda e. If won from the box, these cannot be used to purchase Box 25.
- Shiny and Blue - the five lowest blues are replaced by consumer electronics prizes (all in blue). If won from the box, these cannot be used to purchase Box 25.
- Offer patterns:
- 1,2 Step - 6-5-1-2-1-2-1-2-1. This produces offers at 18-, 13-, 12-, 10-, 9-, 8-, 6-, 5-, and 3-box. This pattern is named after a Ciara song.
- Extended UK - 5-3-3-3-3-3-2. This produces offers at 19-, 16-, 13-, 10-, 7-, 4-, and 2-box.
- Kytlerian - 5-5-3-3-2-2-1-1. This produces offers at 19-, 14-, 11-, 8-, 6-, 4-, 3-, and 2-box. This pattern is named after the KP forum fantasy series that uses it.
- Swedish - 6-5-4-3-2-1-1. This produces offers at 18-, 13-, 9-, 6-, 4-, 3-, and 2-box.
- Triangle Mode - 3-3-3-3-3-3-3. This produces offers at 21-, 18-, 15-, 12-, 9-, 6-, and 3-box.
- Money menus (for Box 25):
- Classic UK - DOUBLE/+£10,000/MONEY BACK/HALF/NOTHING.
- Combo Platter - THRUST/BONUS/DRAIN/SUPER DRAIN/CRUSH.
These options are all described in this post. - Draft Mode - The player receives a choice of two pairs of options (one positive, one negative) to add to the money menu. After selecting one of these, they then receive a choice of two sets of three options, including both a positive and a negative option. Again, one set is chosen for the money menu to produce a total of five options.
- Risk/Reward - TRIPLE/DOUBLE/HALF/QUARTER/NOTHING.
- WTF - 133.7%/110%/+£9,001/+£999/6.3%.
The player power is always introduced first, then the Banker power, and finally the two-way power. This order can be relevant with certain draws. As with previous KP Series major updates, there will likely be a future update (to Series 5.1) to adjust prizes and potentially implement twist/offer pattern changes. The offer formula is an essentially unchanged version of the Series 4 one, using the same benchmarks but simply calculating lower and upper bounds slightly differently.
