On a night of extraordinary tension, what else to do but try and have more of it? AARON is looking to unleash a blue wave on the wings en route to a landslide victory over the Banker!

The Configurator is waiting for him as always... 1-4 for each of player power, Banker power, offer pattern, and money menu to start this game off by determining its rules of engagement!

It's the seemingly inevitable 5-5-3-3-2-2-1-1 offer pattern, and the Banker looks in two of the boxes on the wings knowing he'll see two from this set of 24...

1p
10p
50p
£1
£5
£10
£25
£50
£100
£250
£500
£750

£1,000
£3,000
£5,000
£10,000
£15,000
£20,000
£35,000
£50,000
£75,000
£100,000
£150,000
£250,000

The money menu is +£5,000/+£3,000/+£1,000/-£2,000/-£4,000 and we're hoping that can just be a little bit of detail after a huge win, especially with the wheel to come after it! Alternatively, that combination might be your bailout opportunity...

You have Box 13 and he's looked in Box 23 and one other. He says he didn't see much to disappoint him!

Five in round one as seems usual now. GAME ON!

Not an ideal banker twist and 23 but we'll work with it!

9, 19, 12, 16 and 6 please!

Let's see what the game looks like at the first call!

Box 9 - £35,000! Shaky opening box...

Box 19 - £25! But Ben wouldn't have had joy with that one!

Box 12 - 10p! That's how we do it.

Box 16 - £10! Three in a row...

Box 6 - £500! Make that four!

The colour balance definitely looks nice after that run of blues! Can we extend it?

Box 5 - £10,000, so no, but it's not bad.

Box 15 - £250! And that certainly isn't :)

Box 10 - £5! Hello... already down to six blues...

Box 20 - £20,000 doesn't fog our vision of a giant win...

Box 2 - 1p!! Well how about THAT?

Top five in play with almost half the board gone. Now that's what I call promising!

£5,000

£250,000

The Banker says this is a blue mirage and the red shift is coming!

BANKER'S OFFER

£19,270

But he's more than doubled the opening offer, to one of his biggest bids at this stage... Deal or No Deal?

Can the hype train stay on the rails?

Box 8 - £15,000 is another acceptable red to start...

Box 18 - £75,000! There's the damage...

Box 7 - £50,000! And there's more... top three still there, next three not there!

The Banker can sense the momentum, but how confident can he be with THAT much money in play?

50p
£1
£50
£100
£750

£1,000
£3,000
£5,000
£100,000
£150,000
£250,000

Confident enough to send you down, at least...

BANKER'S OFFER

£17,010

...but it's still far from a small bid! This game could tip violently in either direction, but that offer would keep you away from all of it... Deal or No Deal?

Makes sense to make that move, though he knows that's not an exit fee for me with more than a quarter shot at six figures here. NO DEAL!

17, 11 and 14 please.

It's not a board you were likely to turn down chasing, and now we're about to see how that chase goes, beginning with the path to 8-box...

Box 17 - 50p! And it could not have started better for you!

Box 11 - £100,000! Now down to a 2-box game...

Box 14 -
£3,000 is not one of those two boxes!

I said at the beginning of the game that this is a night of extraordinary tension, and what a board for that this is...

£1
£50
£100
£750

£1,000
£5,000
£150,000
£250,000

He knows he has to make the highest offer of the game so far to give you any chance of dealing.

BANKER'S OFFER

£19,269

And he's NOT done it... :ponder: We know he's seen 23, we know he's seen one other... what did he see and what does it mean? That's a question that might influence your answer to this one... Deal or No Deal?

Interesting play he's trying here... has he anticipated my usual pattern here and tried 22? Mind game aside, with two to open I wouldn't be dealing that offer if it was £2 higher I don't think, 2 boxes to open is too good an opportunity here. NO DEAL.

4 and 21 please.

It is SUCH a delicately poised board... we go to the two-box round stage knowing it could all go horribly wrong for EITHER side in a flash.

Here we go.

Box 4 -
£250,000!

And it's not him it's gone wrong for there...

Box 21 -
£150,000!!

What. A. Crash.

Absolutely astonishing.

£1
£50
£100
£750

£1,000
£5,000

The Banker said he did not peek either of those two, but what he did peek at had two blues that he knew you weren't opening...

 BANKER'S OFFER

£5.38 + ASUS LAPTOP + DEMOCRACY 4

That laptop is worth £749.99 courtesy of John Lewis & Partners, the game to play on it is £21.99, and you get a nominal stake on 25 ;) Deal or No Deal?
