The most ambitious concept in the history of forum Deal or No Deal, weeks in the making, has finally arrived.

It's the 2019 Crossover Series, and it begins with GAME 1: KP x AARON.

The concept is simple. (The rules might not be.) Each of myself, Aaron, and Archie will host a game for each of the other, and it'll be a crossover of a rule set from each player.

These game modes are being drawn in advance, with the uninvolved player as independent adjudicator, and I can confirm that for this game, the rules of engagement are...

DOCTORED BOARD x BETWEEN THE LINES

So, for the first time in weeks and weeks and weeks - in fact for the first time since the 3.1 era! - we get to see the DOCTORED BOARD. The jackpot is £645,000 and the board, in case you need reminding - and you will, it's been that long - is THIS...

£1,000
£1,250
£1,500
£1,750
£2,000
£2,250
£2,500
£2,750
£3,000
£3,500
£4,000

£5,000
FYFFES BANANA BONUS
£7,500
£10,000
£15,000
£20,000
£25,000
£35,000
£96,750
£161,250

£645,000

That BANANA BONUS is £6,000 if won from the box, but confers an instant £3,000 win if revealed in live play. Either way, that money can't go on Box 23...

ADD HALF
+£5,000
+£2,500

MONEY BACK
75%
HALF

That Box 23 can also never be compulsory, though no-23 offers can be made.

Into that game mix, we add BETWEEN THE LINES. This means the offer pattern is transformed - there will now be offers at 19-, 15-, 12-, 9-, 6-, and 3-box instead of the usual timings. The green box mechanic from the Aaron series will also be added, as will the second prediction for a bonus of some kind. However, there are some minor rules around that: the Banana Bonus is disregarded in checking which three values go green, and if the second prediction is played for 23 Boost, it cannot be used for replacing HALF with a better multiplier, only for adding a new positive cash add-on.

For this special game, you have Box 20. For the first time in the history of the KP series, it is NOT five to open in the first round, but just three. Who knows what other history will be rewritten tonight.

GAME ON!!

Let's hope things aren't too dicey to start! ;)

Box 18 - £25,000. It's never easy to know how to react to those kind of values on this game, especially with THAT jackpot... suffice to say it's the least pain we've ever felt taking out one of the top five first box, but the fact of the matter is we have in fact done just that.

Box 19 - £161,250!! Oh good grief, this could suddenly become a hideously scary board... or a hideous anticlimax! Don't do it...

Box 22 -
£2,500! And you don't!

And for the first time in the history of this series, an offer that isn't at a regular time. There's five more of those where that came from as well!

£1,000
£1,250
£1,500
£1,750
£2,000
£2,250
£2,750
£3,000
£3,500
£4,000

£5,000
FYFFES BANANA BONUS
£7,500
£10,000
£15,000
£20,000
£35,000
£96,750

£645,000

The Banker is using his first-offer formula for this offer, but for the later offers he'll be using a weighted average of the formulae for the two "regular" offer points the actual offer point is between, and at 3-box he gets to use the top 80% of his usual 5-box range.

We're here at 19-box, and it's the first ever prediction on a Doctored Board. The closer you are, the better the green boxes could be...

Alright... Interesting start, feeling a little uncomfortable as we teeter around the £9,001 territory... Let's come in with:

PLAYER'S PREDICTION

£9,900

Well, £9,001 was indeed a potential offer he had available to him, it was in the range he could offer in!

So...

BANKER'S OFFER

£10,600

...he went over 15% outside it, and so you're only 6.6% out! :D As a result, we add one of the eight large amounts and two of the eight medium amounts, you know the drill... £3,500, £4,000, and £5,000 are being replaced here, make them good!

You had a board.

You now have a better one...

£1,000
£1,250
£1,500
£1,750
£2,000
£2,250
£2,750
£3,000

£4,000
£23,000
£60,000

FYFFES BANANA BONUS
£7,500
£10,000
£15,000
£20,000
£35,000
£96,750

£645,000

Not the best draw, but you do get one juicy mid-range green at least! At £10,600, Deal or No Deal?

Was quite happy to take anything there, a shame we can't fill that gap between the top two though! We'll play on for now though, NO DEAL.

I'll take 6, 10, 13 and 17 here please.

Would've loved a new six-figure box for sure! But the important thing is you did get some reward for that nice prediction, on Doctored Board you could very easily have made that board worse with the green boxes but you predicted too well to face that fate!

Box 6 - £645,000!! :( There goes the jackpot... it's a sub-£100k game already. At 18-box. But at least it fits the game's intended style now, and moreso with those greens even!

Box 10 - £23,000...

Box 13 - £20,000! Come on, find blues! I know they're not really blue, but still, find them!

Box 17 - £2,000! There we go :)

And now, the second-offer board.

£1,000
£1,250
£1,500
£1,750
£2,250
£2,750
£3,000

£4,000
£60,000

FYFFES BANANA BONUS
£7,500
£10,000
£15,000
£35,000
£96,750

You have one prediction to use, and you aren't forced to use it yet! When you do, it's that choice between 23 Boost, Bonus Box, and Offer Button for what you want from it... but is now the time?

Well that's... unexpected I guess? Doctored Board does weird things at low stakes, but let's play on - NO DEAL!

7, 12 and 21 please.

Happy with that round! I'm still trying to get a feel for this board, not quite confident enough to stick my neck out yet so no prediction.

BANKER'S OFFER

£10,600
