The board begins with the eleven blues and the jackpot...

1p
10p
50p
£1
£5
£10
£50
£100
£250
£500
£750

£310,000

The ten reds will be selected by you, two by two. There are five lists of sixteen pairs of values. Each pair within each list is intended to be of similar value, with that value differing between the five lists. You will be presented with two pairs from the same list, and you will have to choose one pair to put on your board. There will always be one of these decisions for each of the lists, but the order those lists are chosen from is random.

There will then be a decision to make from a choice of three Box 23 money menus, which we'll come to in a bit.

Here is your first pair of pairs...

£2,800 / £19,000
£9,001 / £11,011

Which of those two pairs do you want on your board?

Let's bulk up that smile money and go for the £9,001 / £11,011 pair!

Alright!

1p
10p
50p
£1
£5
£10
£50
£100
£250
£500
£750

£9,001
£11,011

£310,000

A different decision altogether here...

£1,337 / £133,700
£34,500 / £46,000

Big call to make! Which way will you go?

Oh wow, huge variation in pairs... But there's 3 pairs yet to go so let's take the £133,700!

Adding an elite option... and perhaps looking to the other pairs for stability!

1p
10p
50p
£1
£5
£10
£50
£100
£250
£500
£750

£1,337
£9,001
£11,011
£133,700

£310,000

First of those three pairs remaining... is one of these.

£24,240 / £89,000
£25,500 / £86,000

Not a huge difference, but some huge amounts... pick a pair!

Absolutely classic justification!

1p
10p
50p
£1
£5
£10
£50
£100
£250
£500
£750

£1,337
£9,001
£11,011
£24,240
£89,000
£133,700

£310,000

Here's your fourth choice...

£4,250 / £77,777
£1,025 / £90,000

Big contrast, or bigger contrast?

I know that this'll start becoming quite top-heavy but in terms of what I'm aiming for I think it's better for me to go for £1,025 / £90,000.

You've certainly got multiple chunky backups...

1p
10p
50p
£1
£5
£10
£50
£100
£250
£500
£750

£1,025
£1,337
£9,001
£11,011
£24,240
£89,000
£90,000
£133,700

£310,000

...and now, your final pair of pairs.

£16,000 / £24,400
£1,100 / £52,000

This will go a long way to determining just what kind of board you're looking at! Make your pick, and then we'll see your Box 23 options!

Going for the extreme gives me a Power 5 of £52k and over, but the narrower pair gives me more stability... Oh what the hell, let's keep with the theme and go for £1,100 / £52,000 - this should be great fun :D

Making the big move!

1p
10p
50p
£1
£5
£10
£50
£100
£250
£500
£750

£1,025
£1,100
£1,337
£9,001
£11,011
£24,240
£52,000
£89,000
£90,000
£133,700

£310,000

Box 23 could come into play if things go wrong, or maybe even if they don't... here's your choice of three money menus!

Menu A
ADD HALF
+£2,500

MONEY BACK
75%
HALF

Menu B
ADD HALF
+£10,000

MONEY BACK
-£5,000
HALF

Menu C
TRIPLE
ADD HALF

HALF
QUARTER
NOTHING

An interesting decision to make here... pick one of those for your 23, and then we'll be away!

I don't like how much the Triple is anchored down by the blue cards in Menu C, so I'll go for Menu B!

Fair enough! The game can now begin, by opening five... though not Box 5, that's yours! GAME ON!

5 is mine okilydokily! In a lovely convoluted way let's have a Eurovision-themed round based on the number 5.

Box 18 (Armenia performed 5th in the running order last year, finished 18th in the final)
Box 4 (Robin came 5th and performed 4th in the Melfest running order)
Box 16 (Spain only got 5 points last year)
Box 13 (UK gave 5 televoting points to Croatia who performed 13th)
Box 7 (Moldova got 5 sets of 12 televoting points) :smt023

That is freaking beautiful ;) Here we go...

Box 18 - £1! So is that!

Box 4 - £90,000! Bleh. Would have been a good result for the infamous player who never said he can't go on...

Box 16 - £89,000! This is a staggering start, and you're doing it for your loather, the Banker...

Box 13 - 50p! At least the blues are tiny! Symmetrical board here...

Box 7 - 1p! Now, please do not make it symmetrical again!

A very curious opening round...

I don't know what to make of this board...

10p
£5
£10
£50
£100
£250
£500
£750

£1,025
£1,100
£1,337
£9,001
£11,011
£24,240
£52,000
£133,700

£310,000

...but the Banker knows exactly what to offer on it!

BANKER'S OFFER

£7,580

A Salvadorable opening offer, but are you running away with it? That's the question... Deal or No Deal?
