Does it involve picking one of 11 different pieces of cardboard that when turned around reveal an amount from 0.1p to £1,000, £500 or higher being in black and anything lower in white? And every second box comes a text message from the 'accountant' who's trying to buy your piece of cardboard? And it's hosted by Ed Noelmonds?

Actually it probably doesn't, but it still sounds like a ripoff like Take It or Leave It or Grid or No Grid.

You would need to watch it to understand fully

http://www.ukgameshows.com/page/index.p ... _Your_Life

It is a random chance game and it lasts an hour. And some think Deal Or No Deal lasts too long

I think I saw a trailer for it and it involved tubes with money in. Can anyone else confirm?

I predict if ITV1 wins Neighbours off BBC, this will be back to back with it in the 5-6pm slot.

Yes this is another Endemol show such as In the Grid and 1 vs 100.

I was at a taping for it.

Before the game starts: one member of the couple picks an envelope from three with suspiciously-different values inside from £100 to £200. That's the value of each rung on the Money Ladder in Round 1.

Round 1: eleven tube thingies concealing lights, eight white, three red. One picks the numbers, the other picks up the lights and waves them about as appropriate. Every game at the taping I saw, the guy picked the numbers, draw your own conclusions. Pick a white, go up the Money Ladder; pick a red, go down. After you go four rungs up the ladder you can quit, but if Noel is Wakey then Nicky Campbell is basicasic, completely dismissing the mere thought of bailing out at this point even though I for one most certainly would. Hit all three reds and you leave with nothing but the satisfaction of keeping ITV1 in business; if you have the sense to quit, or the luck and stupidity to go to the top of the ladder, you carry over your winnings to...

Round 2: And you're now climbing up the Time Ladder. Now there's fifteen tubes, four of them red. The further you go up the Time Ladder the longer you get the monthly payment earned in round 1. One person picks the numbers on the stage, the other is kept in an isolation booth. The game goes on as long as the player on stage chooses to, but the partner can choose to bail too, and the first decision to quit counts.

Conclusion: This feels like a DoND parody. Only about 40 people were in the audience for my taping and the rest of the seats were covered in black tarpaulin. Seriously. That's about the fate it'll get on ITV1 too.

I caught the last 15/20 minutes of this this afternoon, and I have to say, it was all about as clear as mud! I still haven't the foggiest how the game works and am completely mystified by it.

I'll have to watch a whole episode to see if it makes any kind of sense at all. It certainly looked like a younger relation to Deal or No Deal and from the good people at Endemol, but I wasn't drawn to it at all... :?

It was *beep* *beep*. People who don't like DOND say things like "Ooh it's so boring, they make such a big deal out of nothing and it could be over in a couple of minutes"...I always disagree, but with this show that's actually right. I ended up fast-forwarding most of it 'cos it was too tedious...

I watched about ten minutes of it today. It's so tedious.

Nicky Campbell insists that the contestant has to be absolutely sure about which light they are picking, and sometimes the contestant changes their mind. It's so much like DoND, as well.

Great concept but Nicky Whats-his-name is SOOOO boring. It's dragged out way too long. They could make it 1/2 hr and not have Nicky Whatever reminding us of what is painfully obvious EVERY SINGLE LIGHT.

Oh, and nobody will ever reach "The Rest Of Your Life" (40 years?).

I missed the bit at the start where they choose the amount of money to put on the ladder for Round 1 - What are the amounts? It was £120 today.

There's three envelopes amounts from £100 to £200, oh-so-suspiciously different in every game and one of the contestants chooses one of them.

Erm, Nicky Campbell was a very energetic host of Scottish TV's Wheel of Fortune from 1988 to 1996.

But that doesn't mean he's energetic while hosting this programme. Have you actually seen it?
