'White trash' is not regarded a racist term in the States, where it originated from. Thats not to say I would use such language myself. I think Jade on the other hand has been racist, and a bully. Her behaviour is unacceptable.

That's not entirely true. It is certainly derogatory I would say. There is an interesting entry in Wikipedia about the term:
