There aren't alot of gameshows at the moment but I hear of new ones!! or remakes of the old ones! :D ''Who wants to be a millionaire?'' and ''countdown'' are alright....but Deal or no deal beats them down by far!! :D

As odd as it may sound, I'm not a huge fan of game shows as a rule. I'll watch Millionaire and the Weakest Link if they're on but nothing else is and I'll have a gander at Quizmania if I'm up and about with insomnia but that's about it for me... APART FROM DoND, of course!

DoND's the first game show -and TV show in general- that I've become instantly addicted to straight away- because the format is SO different and every single show is vastly different from the last. DoND's the daddy, for me!

:D

I think most people are fed up with the Quiz format, in that you just answer general knowledge. It all gets very boring and repetitive, (see The Weakest Link and Who Wants To Be A Millionnaire).

As the opening to Deal or No Deal states, there is only one question. The show is great everyday and you get to "know" the contestants which makes it feel personal. It's a great show and I hope I don't get tired of it.

Anything with Brucie in it is a big WIN, but gameshows haven't been the same for a long time (I don't really class Noel Deal as a gameshow). In the old days we had Bullseye and Catchphrase, the Generation Game and Every Second Counts...oh, those grand days of cheesy celebrities and their even cheesier jokes!

I prefer DOND to some of the shows on TV at the moment. The thing with DOND is that you NEVER know what the player will go away with. As Noel says 'Every show is different', which makes it all the more exciting.

I would LOVE to appear on more game shows, because I've only appeared on one so far. In August 2004, I went on Memory Bank and won £700. I still have my show on video!

I was on T4's "Celebrity Pawn " last summer. Its something that you would never have seen or heard of unless you are awake at 10am on a weekend morning :-D
Presented by the lovely Vernon Kay too :-D

It was the edition at the Beach Party so I got a free trip to Weston Super Mare and free tickets to the concert the next day !! Hurrah !! Fabulous weekend - except I went with a 50/50 chance of winning a brand new car and didn't    ah well ! Got a massive hug off Vern and got to meet the sexy steve Jones [drool]**drool**[/drool]

Never did get the goodie bag they promised - or the money for my return trip come to think of it :?

I did a phone-in of Celebrity Pawn. I won the holiday, but as I didn't have a passport, I just kept the £500 spending money! :-D

I won a holiday in a pub in my town centre once. Nothing to do with a gameshow - just names out of a hat and you had to be there when they drew the final draw. The guy who's name was first wasn't there and my name was second !! Hurrah !! A week for two people !! Quality !!

Shame it was an 18-30's one ha ha ha ......... but my friend and I had great fun spending the week taking the piss out of the other numpties !! Hurrah !!

When Glory Ball was on Challenge, I entered twice.

The first time, I took a Glory Ball, but didn't win. I still got a League of Gentlemen complete boxset on DVD.

The second time, I just kept the £40.

My Mum was on Catchword and 15-1, she was winning on Catchword until the bloke against her caught up, he used to read the dictionary for fun - weirdo.

I couldnt really imagine me being on a gameshow, Im not sure why as I am an outgoing person.

Don't suppose anyone remembers a show called 'Beat the Nation'? It was on between Fifteen-to-One and Deal or No Deal along with Countdown in Channel 4's double bill.

I was on that, I beat the nation and won £500 for my trouble! :) :) :)

If I'd been a second quicker in the final round I'd have been in the quarter finals for a chance to play for £50,000.

Hmmmmpf.
