In The Grid

Couldn't see a topic anywhere else about it but has anyone else watched this new game show on CH5.

Made by Endemol who I think are hoping this show will take off like DOND.

Hosted by Les Dennis I watched it a couple of times this week and it's alright but I wouldn't say i'm hooked on it.

What happens is that the game is controlled by a grid like this(hence the name)

A1 A2 A3 A4 A5
B1 B2 B3 B4 B5
C1 C2 C3 C4 C5
D1 D2 D3 D4 D5

And basically behind that grid is money or penalty's or the option to steal the other player's money and then whoever gets the most can go on the super grid which is bigger and gives the player a chance to win some money by gambling on a square which has to be gold as if it's black you lose the lot. If they decide to stop they come back the next day.

Now if you watched the show I wasted my time explaining that but oh well.

i dont think its crap, its a bit too much like dond eg how the players are selected, the way they stay on the show until they play, and also the phone in competition is practically the same as dond. and another problem as the grid is computerised it can never be proved that it really is random. Fairly good format but i can't see it being as popular as dond

at least they have got an experienced host and not someone who doesnt have a clue about presenting like people off ther mint and quizmania

I turned on halfway through and it made no sense to me at all. I'm sure it'd be OK if I watched it from the start though.

Watched it for the first time today, it's ok I suppose but I can't see myself watching it everyday.

i believe they change what is behind the squares as the game goes along. on thursdays episode someone revealed a square for themself, later on that square changed

Heya guys, I was actually on the show as one of the contestants. I'm playing on Monday the 4th of December (tomorrow). I don't think it's quite as good as DON, which was filmed at the same studio, but it is still an interesting game and you can really get hooked on it!! I'm Ali by the way.

Actually now I think about it I'm playing on Tuesday. Either way I can't see myself as I'm in Florida at the mo!!

Didn't get the chance to see Noel but I did get my picture taken with Les Dennis which is the next best thing I suppose!! Shame my camera got nicked before I got a chance to upload the photos!!
