I wonder that a thread hasn't been done... perhaps dondsters prefer X Factor, but I still enjoy Strictly.

I like Jade Johsnson so far. Also, about Alesha Dixon being judge... I don't think she's a good judge. But hey, perhaps she learnt a lot in the two years. Is her partner doing the show? I wonder what'll happen... :?

I haven't seen a lot of it, but I'm not keen on the new judge... preferred the older one. :?

I am enjoying it this time, I didn't watch the last series but watched the one Darren Gough won :D

Alesha Dixon was on the 6.30 show tonight and she said that she was the voice of the ordinary viewer who had a smattering of knowledge, also she had the insider view of what it is like to be a contestant :D

I liked Ali and the guy who does the sport on BBC :D

Jade was all over her partner even after they had danced and were sat watching the others :smt009

Arlene Phillips did my head in - her voice was like hearing nails scratching on a blackboard. Alesha is fine as a judge IMO.

I would have started this thread (I think I did last years one) but you beat me to it. I much prefer Strictly to the X Factor.

Alesha is fine. She's been through the process before, something that the other judges haven't so she's got an added insight. To be fair though, she can't really win with the public. They complained when the judges got too bossy about John Sergeant last year, and now that there's a new judge, they're complaining even more. It's just an entertainment show, give it a rest people! [By people, i mean the public].

I think Ali and Brian will go far this series, they were without a shadow of a doubt the best couple over the weekend.

Apparently a letter has been leaked, which was given to the contestants, judges and professional dancers. It's said to contain details of what they should say about the new judge, if anyone asked for their opinion...

Tuffers was brilliant, I was expecting him to be rubbish :D

The group dance was much better than the one last week :D

Not surprised that Tuffers got through, I knew he would get the Gentleman vote

But Jo escaped elimination and should've gone tonight (Thanks Brendan! )

I've been thinking about the voting system. I suppose it was just about possible this week for the couple at the top of the leaderboard to be in the dance-off, if they got bottom with the viewers and 2 other couples didn't accumulate 10 points, as in a tie the viewer vote counts.

But even after that scenario, I can't see the judges voting off the highest ranked couple, and next week with 14 couples, there's even less reason to vote for the highest on the leaderboard!

Well if the weak links don't go in the upcoming weeks, then there is seriously something wrong

I have to agree with jivealex... I've watched an hour and a half (with another hour to go..) of this trollop and I cannot see the point of it! 2 people prancing around this lino and everyone looks a bit of a prat.

I think that's the first time anyone on the forum has done that (excluding myself and jiveclive)!

What does everyone think of the whole situation with Anton Du Bek calling his celebrity partner 'a p*ki' after she had a spray tan. i heard it happened a couple of weeks ago and had got over it before it was even heard of. obviously someone at the BBC wants to stir the ****. its ridiculous

It's obvious the BBC wants to make it to look like nothing's wrong, in the words of a Wilsonist, SOS

His partner is asking for it to be forgotten about as she has forgiven him

She shouldn't have told anyone about it in the first place, it was a joke  Anton is always joking :D I think she is worried she won't get paid anymore if he is kicked off

It was a joke, get over it

Rant over :D

I think the whole "race row" as it has been called has been extremely overexaggerated.

As has been said it was a joke, she has accepted his apology. There's nothing else to it.
