It was the bit in the dress shop, where he asked for a 1% discount...wasn't particularly hilarious now I think about it, but it made me laugh a lot at the time.

Yes, I think I saw that...and that line wasn't that funny, no... the episode was alright, not one of the best, was it?

Anyone watching the Mitchell and Kenyon thing, or whatever it's called? No, sorry, the Lost World of Mitchell and Kenyon was something Dan Cruickshank did... that guy's a LEGEND. Travelling around the country in an old car looking at that brilliant old footage that Mitchell and Kenyon filmed...the mini DVD player Dan Cruickshank had with him... the opening titles of the programme and the music... ahhh....

Anwyay, I'm, getting carried away now... I mean Mitchell and Webb.... anyone like that? It's on BBC 2 right now... It's a bit weird. :?

No, I'm going mad. Mitchell and Kenyon were the photographers, and that was another of Dan Cruickshank's programmes. I meant to say The Lost World of Friese-Green... Friese-Green was the film maker! :D

Sorry, back on topic. I must stop posting my random ramblings on here.

It does seem a bit odd the show is still called Extras...when he isn't and she doesn't appear to be anymore...?

What is it with Ricky Gervais and making me cringe? I always cringed at David Brent, and now Extras is full of cringeworthy moments! :)

Does anyone have any predictions - not spoilers though - as to what will happen in the end?

And you're right H, what does Maggie actually do?

I quite liked tonight's episode, and I don't usually think it's funny. Missed last week though.

I can't believe I laughed at Chris Martin! I can't think of a more unlikely person to make me laugh  I didn't think much of him before seeing that.

I think the humour is not as obvious which I think is done deliberately - he's definitely making some sort of comment about the comedies that are on TV at the moment.

The thing is, I don't really understand the comment he wants to make. Like last night, when Chris Martin wanted to be in his sitcom, he said something like "Oh, I think it's pathetic when celebrities just show up in a sitcom for no reason", when that's exactly what was happening in the real sitcom! It's like he wants to have his cake and eat it - he points out how crap it is when other sitcoms do these things, but still gets to draw attention to the show by doing them himself.

Hahaha...Ian McKellen explaining how he acts was fantastic. Best bit of the series. (Although I didn't think the rest of the episode was very good.)

That bit was good... but is now Jennie or whatever her name is an extra in Andy's comedy? When did that happen? Did I miss something?

And what happened to Keith Chegwin? He's meant to be a regular character in When the Whistle Blows, but we've only seen him in one episode!

Maybe it'll all be explained in the last episode.

No mention to Keith Chegwin in the last episode...this series definitely hasn't been as good as the first series, we used to have a structure for each episode in series 1 - Andy Millman and his friend (forgotten her name  ) were extras, and would meet celebrtiy actors on set... this series, they've just tried to (desperately, perhaps?) slot in celebrities whenever they can... :? :( There were some good bits... for example, Robert Lindsay was funny last night making fun of himself and My Family, but that stuff with Andy Millman and the mother of the boy who was dying was disturbing and pointless.

MAGGIE!

And they say that TV dumbs the brain....

I personally thought this second series has been as good as the first, but I seem to be alone in this view.

Last night's episode was disappointing apart from De Niro and the pen. That made me laugh out loud.

Robert Lindsay ruined it for me...

I just found it a bit annoying when he was singing the songs from the musicals. I did like the bit right at the end though.

Thought it was all *beep* last night...especially Robert Lindsay. The only bit that made me laugh was the *beep* over the pen...oh God, what does that say about my sense of humour? :?

Yes, I found the stuff about the pen funny too. Although I was only half-watching the first half of the episode because of all that stuff going on with walsh...
